Is Tigerdroppings the most used college sports centered site on the Internet?

I come to ask here to not have biased takes from the OT or Tiger Rant. What say you? Is the SEC Rant used more than whatever college site for your alma mater? Like TexAgs or which ever site for your college.

I’m pretty sure even just college sports sections of Reddit get more traffic than here. But this has gotta be one of the more active and complete college/region specific (LSU/SEC) websites with a lot of range and active users

Its certainly more active than any of the Gator boards, but I am not sure it is used more than the gay porn sites the Aggies post on

I came from volnation (a long time ago) because I got tired of reading the same old shite from VOLS fans after every game. I think this is the best place on the internet to get diverse views from every SEC fanbase on one site. There is a definitely an LSU bias in terms of upvotes/downvotes, but 1) who cares and 2) it makes complete sense given the origins of the site
That being said, a lot of people post a lot of dumb shite on here

This is the only one I visit, so I don't know how others compare.

No. SECRant is.

It’s the only site I frequent because of the LSU, SEC, Poli, Golf, and Outdoors pages.

Anyone like me who doesn't get their SEC team sports news fix from Twitter comes to the Rant/TD. I actually do follow some professional sports teams like the Grizz and Cardinals closely on Twitter but I find myself coming here more and more now to read up on the Saints.

This is the only one I come too and after being on a few, I can say to me this site and all its forums/boards are the best.

All the breaking news shows up on this site before it does on the national news

I’m always amazed at how people who have no sec involvement and are on the other side of the country know about this place. I’m less enthusiastic about the judgement I get after telling them I frequent this place.

quote:Same for me. However, over the last several years, it has gone from really good to useless. There once was actual discussion between fans of other schools, some very knowledgable and some just spam. But with the new schools and the UTenn alters spamming the board with bullshite just about all we get is bullshite. Sorry, just the way I feel. I find very little information about any athletic teams here; just crap like the Diamond Anniversary of Missouri's something or other.

This is the only site that matters. Reddit is too moderated and opinionated (zero fun), other sites are too team biased. Xitter might be the only other option.

Democratic Underground is the insane asylum of the Internet.

I began frequenting TD more when Woopig.net was beginning to fade. Hogville just wasn’t my cup of tea (I’m sure they are very nice people)

The rant did get mentioned on comedy central.

Woopig was the site of thick skinned posters unlike Hogville.

SEC Rant and TigerRant are the only two sport sites I visit. I prefer the former to the latter. I can glean a lot of information from TugerRant, particularly the BPB in baseball (missing you, Cheerwine and Liquid Rabbit) . But The negatigers can be insufferable at times, like when LSU falls behind a few runs in the mid-innings of a midweek game. I like the SEC Rant for its divergent and generally intelligent posts. I hate, though, the idiots that troll the site. I wish there was someway that the “general population” could vote out the assholes that make this site knee-deep in B.S. at times.
