I don’t recall Archer grinding on recruits either.

We don't have divisions anymore, so there won't be a repeat.

Brian Kelly beat Alabama and took LSU to the SECCG in his first year.

Brian Kelly has 10, 10, and 9 wins in his first 3 years at LSU.

Ole Miss gave Lane Kiffin a 6-year extension right after he lost to Brian Kelly and went 8-5

Mike Archer tied for an SEC title, Kelly only has tied for the West divisision. Archer has more accomplishments than Kelly, but Kelly has the better overall record. It comes down to whether you value conference championships more or consistently having 8-10 win seasons.

And since then he has lost to Alabama by a combined score of 84-41 and hasn’t sniffed the championship game.

Brian Kelly. Archer inherited the roster that was really good his first year. After that the bottom fell out and led to the worst era of LSU football. Back then just having a winning season and going to any bowl was an achievement.

Now if we lose four games in a season, the sky is falling.

Mike Archer singlehandedly drove LSU Football into a decade long ditch. He was the worst LSU HC ever, IMO.
