Baseball Expectations

We are halfway through conference play this weekend. What type finish would satisfy you? What do you expect?
I would be very happy if Alabama could finish with a winning conference record, not get swept by anyone, and host a regional. Anything else would be gravy.
What I expect, with the way Zane Adams has pitched the last two Fridays, is Alabama to finish 6-9 and wind up 14-16 in conference play, get bounced early from the SEC tourney and be a 2 or 3 seed in an away regional.
Hell, I guess just making the NCAA playoffs is an improvement and all we can really hope for.
What would make you happy? What do you expect to happen?

After last year I’ll be pleased if we host a regional.
Off to a decent start. Won 3 of our first 4 series, and hopefully tonight we make it 4 of the first 5.

Under .500 for us. Although, we'll piss off somebody with being their 2 or 3 seed in the regional.

I expected us to be complete arse this season. Somehow, we've turned into a "decent" team. Bianco knows he is gone if we don't make it into the tourney, and he's looking like he might keep his job. The starting pitching rotation has to change after this weekend - Morris should be our Friday Ace (he has more than earned it), and Elliott needs to move to Sunday.

I don’t really have any expectations this season.. Schloss is the right guy going forward..
I’d love to make Omaha where anything can happen but today is a good example of how I see our season ending at some point.. We are not a very good hitting team and we weren’t even facing good pitchers.
I think we have a good shot to make a Super, maybe even host, but that or 2 & Q is probably our ceiling.. which is a great first year for Schloss. We’d be 5-10 or worse in conference play with Pierce imo.

Coming into the season, I would have been happy just to make the NCAAT but hot start has re-calibrated expectations :)

Hosting a regional is my expectation, national seed is about all any of us can hope for beyond that.

While we are spoiled as Texas fans making it to Omaha as much as we have, I still never go in “expecting” to make it. Really the goal is to just get the best seed/hosting situation possible and then let the chips fall where they may

Baseball is baseball and shite sometimes goes sideways..
See 2021 Arkansas
See 2022 Tennessee
Gotta make the postseason and hope you get hot at the right time and that you get a few lucky bounces along the way.. there are no guarantees in baseball.

I see us making Super Regional . But I think road ends there. Don’t see us hosting super, to many rough series ahead of us for top 8 final.
