I asked AI to compile and rank composite recruiting data for the real 14 SEC teams in football, and here is what it returned:
Miss State, OM, Kentucky, and Mizzou above Arkansas? This is inclusive of Mullin, Lane, and Meyer, but also Petrino. I'm still a bit surprised. What surprised you?
What really sticks out is the established program that Kelly inherited with nothing to show for it.
Approximate Ranking of SEC Football Programs by Composite Recruiting Performance (2000–Present):
Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama has consistently secured top-tier recruiting classes, especially under coach Nick Saban since 2007. Their ability to attract five-star talent has translated into multiple national championships.
Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia has been a recruiting powerhouse, particularly in recent years under coach Kirby Smart, regularly finishing with top-ranked classes.
LSU Tigers
LSU has maintained strong recruiting classes throughout the years, contributing to their sustained success in the SEC and nationally.
Florida Gators
Florida's recruiting success has seen fluctuations, but they have consistently been able to attract top talent, especially during their championship runs in the mid-2000s.
Texas A&M Aggies
Since joining the SEC in 2012, Texas A&M has made significant strides in recruiting, often securing top ten classes nationally.
Auburn Tigers
Auburn has had a mix of strong and moderate recruiting classes, with peaks aligning with their national championship appearances.
Tennessee Volunteers
Tennessee's recruiting has experienced highs and lows, but they have managed to secure notable classes, particularly in the early 2000s and recent years.
South Carolina Gamecocks
South Carolina has had periods of recruiting success, notably under coach Steve Spurrier, bringing in top talent to compete in the SEC East.
Ole Miss Rebels
Ole Miss has occasionally landed highly ranked classes, highlighted by their standout 2013 recruiting haul.
Mississippi State Bulldogs
Mississippi State's recruiting efforts have been solid, though they often rank in the middle tier of the SEC.
Kentucky Wildcats
Known more for basketball, Kentucky's football recruiting has improved in recent years, reflecting in better on-field performances.
Missouri Tigers
Since joining the SEC in 2012, Missouri has had moderate recruiting success, with occasional spikes during their SEC East title runs.
Arkansas Razorbacks
Arkansas has faced challenges in recruiting compared to some of their SEC counterparts but has managed to develop talent effectively.
Vanderbilt Commodores
Vanderbilt's recruiting classes typically rank lower in the SEC, focusing on student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically.

Hilarious, yet the team you r a fan of has had less success than Texas did in its first year in the SEC!

1. frick you for making me say this.
2. Texas has like 1 National Championship over the past 50+ years and Auburn has 1.
Edit: Fixed a brain fart that said Auburn had 2.

You had more success than anyone in the conference this year. Does that make TU the GOAT of the conference? Tread carefully.

I love watching people stumble upon the fact that Arkansas is actually an overachiever at football.
Ole Miss signed a top-5 recruiting class in America in 2013 and Arkansas went 4-0 against the Rebels from '14-'17.
Mississippi State had unlimited access to EMCC and CoLIN from the 80s until now and lost 12 in a row to Arkansas from '99-2011.
Bobby beat LSU 2 of the 4 years he was the coach.
The Arkansas-Alabama series was tied before Saban arrived.
Arkansas does more with less than any of you fools.

Ah yes. One of the more successful coaches Auburn ever had was from none other than the great state of Arkansas.

Texas has 4 in the past 60+ years but yes if you want to pull arbitrary numbers it’s 1 in the last 54 years.
I don’t consider the natty the only success metrics, it’s by far the most important but pre playoff there was a lot of bs that hindered nattys see Texas 3 way tie year when they lost the chance to play for a natty. Comparing Texas to auburn is hilarious but sure keep trying

We are not the goat and have underachieved considerably, we didn’t win a natty or even sec champ this year. All I was pointing out is in 1 year we did more than the majority of the sec has in their existence or a long long time.
