The SEC is relevant in literally every sport at this point in time. It’s amazing and super fun and keeps the rivalries exciting.
Imagine being the big 12 and your rival is 6-6 every other year

As well they should. Ain't nobody baking pies better than the Grannies in Bama.

Set oven to 350, Saban isn’t at Alabama anymore. Bake for 20-30 mins.

True but now we're down to only two conferences that matter.

The SE and parts of the Midwest are largely the only places that care. Because of that money flows and allows the schools to take the best recruits possible.

It's not that amazing given the current landscape of current athletics.

No, we are not. From 2006-2012 the SEC won over 60% of national championships in the big three; men’s basketball (3 of 7), baseball (3 of 7), and football (7 of 7).
With football being the most important sport, there is no way anyone can make a valid argument that the SEC was not at it’s peak during those 7 years. With NIL and the portal the Big 10 will keep the SEC from ever dominating college sports like that again. We have seen that with Ohio State and Michigan winning two of the last three.

And LSU still couldn’t even be competitive. Run off your home field. Stadium empty by the 4th quarter. Fans having to resort to trash talking Missouri and Arkansas. That is LSU football.

Well, I don't care about other sports aside from college football, but I submit to you that we are living in the WORST years of cfb. I submit as evidence...
HIghschool kids have freakin AGENTS and multi-million dollar contracts!
National signing day means absolutely NOTHING anymore.
Having a top 5 recruiting class is worthless because 2/3s of it will be gone the following year thanks to the transfer portal.
Even if you pay a 5 star player a bazillion dollars and a new Masarati to come to your school, if he doesn't start the following season, he'll just transfer away looking for greener pastures.
The goofy 12 team playoff will get more teams in, but do they really have a chance against teams with more money that can "buy" a team of star athletes, like our current so-called national champion (Ohio st) did? So, the whole idea it will create parity has been squashed by the NIL and transfer portal.
I could go on and on...but you get the point, right?

LSU and Alabama finished tied for fourth in the SEC standings and had the same overall record.
