Not a matter of whether it will happen anymore because it will happen again, eventually.

The usual suspects include:

Clemson
FSU
NC State
UNC
UVA
VaTech

Anyone being overlooked? Do Tulane or GaTech ever make it back?

Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
The Sorbonne in France
McGill in Montreal

This would get the footprint bigger.

We could add soccer and hockey.

Who brings new TV markets to the table. NC and VA as they are large SE states. If you expand to 20 then NC, NC state, VA and VA tech

Missouri isn't in the SEC, remember. Let's add them real quick, then we'll immediately kick their asses out.

If it were up to me, and we were forced to expand?

4 Pods

West
Alabama
Auburn
LSU
Ole Miss
Miss State

East
Tennessee
Georgia
Florida
Vanderbilt
Kentucky

Southwest
Texas
Oklahoma
Texas A&M
Arkansas
* Kansas

Coastal
* FSU
* Clemson
South Carolina
* Duke
* North Carolina

Football would be equally great.
We would have 21 of the last 26 National Champions
all but 2001 Miami, 2004 USC, 2014 Ohio State, 2023 Michigan, 2024 Ohio State

10 Game SEC Football schedule
Play your pod (4)
Play another pod (5)
Those 10 teams make a division which makes scheduling equal each year
Play a permanent rival. You'd have to have a secondary rival in the years where pods aligned.

4 Basketball Blue Bloods
Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, Duke
20 game SEC schedule - Play everyone 1 time each year + 1 perm rival home & home.

Basketball Permanents
Kentucky vs Kansas
North Carolina vs Duke
South Carolina vs Clemson
Florida vs FSU
Georgia vs Auburn
Alabama vs LSU
Tennessee vs Vanderbilt
Ole Miss vs Miss State
Texas vs Arkansas
Texas A&M vs Oklahoma
(not exactly sure which ones would make the most sense)

Baseball - We'd have the Top 9 teams currently in ELO
+ #11, #13, #17, #20, #24, #27 etc in the ELO
Baseball Schedule
Lots of options here.. depends on the number of series we want to play..
1 Perm + 9 Rotating is probably best solution if you only want to play 10 series
3 Perm + 8 Rotating for 11 series
5 Perm + 7 Rotating for 12 series
They won't listen to us though.. so it will probably be 2 and 8 rotation..

So IF we are going to add teams, these are the teams I would add.. and yes, Missouri left voluntarily for the B1G to avoid Kansas.

Just say no to Kansas. People complain about Missouri and they are 1000 times more southern than Kansas.

I’d go for Sewanee again before Kansas.

And Kansas doesn’t want to be in the SEC, except for one fan.

The SEC should contract and kick out Mizzou and the other Big 12/SWC schools.

I was with you til this (other than seeing Kansas). Besides the fact that Auburn's permanent team is less than appealin, traditional rivalry should be kept through further expansion. Cant honor traditional rivalry..no expansion.

I don't give a shite about tv markets.
