In. Nerves aren't as bad as sweet 16/ elite 8 games. I'm guessing my expectations have lowered.

I cannot believe they play this in the Alamodome. It's a freaking barn.

Now SA is a fun town to visit for a day or two so you have that.

Honestly I kinda like that it's in the Dome. Should affect depth perception and shooting may struggle. Time to man up and take it inside.

Same here. I am quite relaxed.

You can promote a Final Four appearance in so many ways. You even get a trophy for winning your region… it’s already a huge accomplishment and totally different when compared to football.

Yeah, I think for me it's because it's a final 4 among all 1 seeds, all of whom are analytically all-time good teams. As long as we don't get drummed like UT did in the Elite 8 I'm good with whatever result may come.

Although I'd also prefer not to lose on a missed double dribble call again.

In the good ole days, they played basketball perpendicular to the football field, so each seat was at least decent. Now it's played so every seat can be sold and the view sucks! Something like:

I was there a few weeks ago for HS state finals and they cut off half the dome and played in the other half. It was still awful. Not sure they will do that for these games or milk all the money they can get. It is way too big for basketball.

Out of all the big new stadiums, I'm surprised they put it back in San Antonio in that dump.

Hopefully your own personal photo. The last basketball game I saw in the Alamodome was Texas in the Sweet 16 in 2003. Attendance was 33k so the field switch must have been between '03 and '08. This game LINK

I believe they renovated it in 2018 and 2024.

^I was just there. It’s still a dump. And it looks like they’re using the entire dome. Fn money grab.

I’m looking at ticket prices and they are out of their freaking minds. $5Gs for a decent seat. Hard pass. Folks packed in like sardines. I’ll be watching on TV.

I hope they have special student pricing.

BTW - there is only one place to drop off/pickup for Uber/Lyft and it’s not very easy to find. Be prepared to walk around the entire facility trying to find eat.

May the best team win. Period. Because they will need it for the Duke/Houston winner. Right now Houston looks to be the best team. I hope I’m wrong.

Well in the current world it is what have you done for me lately, and here is the margin of victory for each team.

Duke won by 20
Houston won by 19
Auburn won by 6
Florida won by 5

Florida was the only one who was lucky to win. UF has has to come from behind to win twice and has yet to have a convincing wire to wire win in the tourney. So after playing probably the best of all the teams in the conference tournaments, Fla is playing the worst right now.

The good news for Florida is that this is all subject to change. Last game or last week or last month doesn't matter now.

First Final Four matchup ever between SEC teams as the other 4 times the SEC got 2 in they were on opposite sides and at least one lost before the championship game. The SEC won 3 of 4 championships those 4 years though.
