With Buzz to Maryland…..
I hear Aggies chasing Beard right now. My contact says Trev has been in talks since Buzz started negotiating with the Terps.

1. I just love coaches leaving Aggie for better jobs. Really just kicks them in the teeth and reminds them that they aren't a destination job for everybody.
2. I would love to see Beard go there. Namely because I want to see Schlossnagle beating aTm for the considerable future, and seeing Beard beating UTa for the considerable future, it would simultaneously drive both fanbases insane. I also hate that Ole Miss does better than LSU in anything.

College sports is a year to year thing now.
Players and coaches jump ship at thd drop of the hat.
Fans need to wake up. We are funding a system we hate.

I really thought buzz would have been better.
Probably a good chance for Texas AM to finally upgrade their program with a good hire

I’d prefer not to see Beard at an SEC program with more resources

Dang, I would have thought that A&M was the better job.

Considering Maryland’s coach left for Villanova because UM wouldn’t give him NIL funds, I agree.

That's what I'm saying unless there were some internal issues at A&M

Your contact might be overestimating Trev

Trev Alberts the AD appears to be a cheapskate, it’s possible he told Buzz good luck

Beard obviously makes a lot of sense for A&M and it would be a real kick in the balls if they could fall arse-backwards into landing a BETTER coach than the guy who voluntarily left them. In two years Beard has the SEC's historical doormat reaching heights they've never seen (within a few points away from the Elite 8). It's almost the same path he took leading Texas Tech to OT of the Championship game in year 3.
That said, I'm surprised with all of the major conf. openings you never really heard Beard's name outside of Indiana speculation (who, as it turns out, had their new HC locked in for a month). Either he, surprisingly, had no desire to leave Ole Miss right now OR he was clued in for a while that Willard would be leaving Maryland for Villanova and Buzz would be interested in the Maryland job when it officially opened. Williard didn't exactly hide that he wanted out of Maryland.

I vividly remember when they "stole" Fran from us and were quite puffed up about it (after Bryant and Stallings left A&M for Alabama).

I mean....to be fair that was a damn solid hire on paper. They went 6-6 in 2002 then stole away a head coach from the #1 program of all time that was just coming off a 10 win season in which they would have played for the SEC title if not for sanctions. Any way you slice it they had every right to puff up about that.
obviously we have hindsight on how it all worked out though.

Laugh all you want bubba. I was right about the OC, Right about when Kyler left. My contact is rock solid. Also replace your occupation to $$$$ dollar signs two makes you look poor.

Because it reminds you that LSU isn't a destination job. First year as OC plays for a National Championship. The fact that I have to spell this answer out to you is particularly sad.

If anyone should be speaking about Natties or destination jobs it should not be an Aggie.
