Gotta hand it to him.....Geno Auriemma, UConn's HC, has done a remarkable job for the Huskies.

Wow, going to their 24th Final Four, their 16th of the past 17 Final Fours...historic!

UConn leads the nation in women's BB with 11 national titles and will be going for their 12th. Tennessee is second with 8 national titles.

Congrats, Geno and the Huskies!

Absolutely well deserved......................and then some.

In fairness, the rivalry between Geno and Pat (UT ladies) is still one of legendary stuff. Pat brought the game to light and national prominence, and Geno took it to the moon. Those games were classic!

Are there no SEC teams in this year's women's BB Final Four?

UConn is 11-1 in the Finals. Care to guess who the one loss is to?

If that evil dementia/alzheimers hadn't gotten to our beloved Pat — it was evident that something was up her last couple of years — you damn well bet the Lady Vols would have had more titles and been a force.

Unfortunately, it's been a damn slide. I do like Caldwell. She has some fire to her. If she can get some players like Pat did, look out.

Pat Summitt leaving the game opened doors for everyone else in the SEC. Which is good. But, for us, sadly, these current high school girls haven't been able to directly see her impact beyond Candace Parker.

To give Pat a nod...

I'm certainly no fan of the Vols but she is just one of those old school/OG legends that I respect the hell out of. Even if SC were to win it all this year we'd be 3rd all time in titles but still only half of Pat's.

I was actually at the SC@UT game in 2005. They had just broken ground on that statue of her outside of the arena so they honored her at half-time or pregame, I can't remember which, and it was cool to see her there.

As an aside, they also retired Peyton's number that game and he did the Vol Walk which was also cool to see.

Not sure why UT went all in on their legends that game.

I think Pat's and Geno's are both overrated tourist traps.

There's much better cheesesteaks in Philly.
