Prettiest SEC States

The South is undoubtedly the best region of this country for its food, history, and beauty. While the states tend to be poor their natural beauty is priceless. Below is my ranking for most beautiful states in the SEC.
1.) Tennessee (Beautiful mountains in the east mirrored by the flat delta in the west, Tennessee has the best of both worlds)
2.) South Carolina (The Lowcountry might be prettiest region of the south and the upcountry is slept on)
3.) Georgia (Georgia's rolling hills in the North are complemented nicely by the Golden Isles and Savannah)
4.) Louisiana (The nature in this state is undefeated and spring along the gulf might be the best season in the South)
5.) Alabama (This state has a little of everything and represents a little of every corner of the South)
Overall, these five states encapsulate the best the South has to offer. Arkansas and Kentucky also have some great areas. Mississippi is basically Tennessee in the north and Louisiana in the south. Texas is Mexico and Missouri is Canada. Oklahoma might as well be Nebraska or Kansas. Florida is a mythical land all its own.

They do, but I can go with Tennessee being a beautiful state.
I'd rank them;
1. Tennessee
2. Arkansas
3. Georgia
4. South Carolina
5. Florida

You will not find any place nicer than the Ozarks and Buffalo River area. None

Texas is larger than your top 5 combined. Texas is #1. Has it all.

Everywhere except New England, the American Southwest, the Rockies, Big Sky Country, and the Pacific Northwest I'm guessing.

Missouri is like Canada?

While I love Charleston and the coast and while Greenville is a really cool city, the rest of that state kinda just sucks. It’s like if the whole state was just middle Georgia without mountains or a big city to compensate

Louisiana isn't in the top 5, brah. Arkansas and Kentucky definitely are. You need to get out more.

The great parts of SC are some of the best in the whole country, but as you said, most of central SC is a dump.

I’ll play along:
1. Overall, I have to agree with Tennessee. Very few ugly areas in the state.
2. Florida- yes, most of it is not very scenic but I can’t not give the state with the Everglades and the coolest wildlife in the country a high ranking. There’s more to Florida than theme parks and tourist beaches.
3. Arkansas- underrated state for nature. Only the Delta of AR sucks. The rest is great.
4. South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama- pretty similar, but I’d rank them in that order if I had to pick. Can’t go wrong with mountains and beaches. They are all very similar to me.
5. Kentucky- A less busy version of Tennessee with less tourists makes it a good place to visit. And Mammoth Cave; enough said.
6. Texas- the really cool parts of it make up for the butt-ugly parts. I have to nominate Lubbock for the ugliest part of the country.
7. Oklahoma- mountains (yes really) in the eastern part of the state, canyons in the west. OK has more scenery than people think it does. Great storm chasing west of I-35
8. Missouri- some hidden nature in central MO. Lots of neat caves to check out. Otherwise, MO is pretty plain. Forests in the south and fields north of I-70.
9. Louisiana- I don’t know much about Louisiana, to be honest. I’ve only been to NOLA and through it on I-20.
10. Mississippi- I’m sorry, MS, there’s just not much going on there for nature.

Honestly Georgia should be much lower than 3. Their coast isn't all that great outside of Savannah and Atlanta is a total dump.

GA and SC are very similar to me. Worst parts of each state are smack in the middle, but both have nice mountains and great beaches. I’d give the edge to SC.

Can’t take you seriously if Kentucky isn’t Top 5 between our parks systems, Red River Gorge, Mammoth Cave, horse farms, etc.

GA and SC have very nice beaches? Florida and Alabama have very nice beaches. South Carolina and Georgia are the equivalent of Mississippi beaches with dirty water.
Georgia is a shite hole outside of the north part and Savanna
Give me Arkansas any day over Georgia
