Seems like SEC schools would dominate with golf courses on campus, but schools like Indiana and Purdue have amazing ones.

Not A&M.

We supposed to be SEC with a kickarse turf program and the campus course was garbage when I was in school. Played it in 2018 and it was still garbage.

UK's course is halfway to Frankfurt.

Our team plays a few miles away. I have to think it’s probably the best home course in the conference.

I lived by the old one on Burbank. That one hole that was parallel to Nicholson was fun.

LSU host its golf tournaments a the University Club which is significantly better condition and layout than the on campus golf course.

LSU really doesn't have an on-campus golf course suitable for SEC play.

That's all mostly parking now.

By "on-campus" do you mean in-town or right there next to classrooms?

I have only played Alabama and Mississippi State. Unless either has seen some upgrades, they won’t be in the conversation.

It's been a while since I have played at MSU but it always left a lot to be desired considering our PGM and Turf programs

I've played UGA's. It's extremely nice. I enjoyed it a lot.

I don't think Arkansas' could be considered on campus. It's 2 or 3 miles just north of campus. John Tyson built it specifically for the Hogs to have a world-class course to call home. It's got indoor/outdoor hitting bays with all the latest Trackman technology. It's also got one Bermuda practice green and one Bent practice green. The course itself is rated one of the toughest anywhere. From the tips it's an absolute beast. i played 2 or 3 sets forward and it still beat me to death. It's gorgeous, winding through some drastic terrain, and dodging around a creek that comes into play quite a bit.

Beyond those two, I've not played any other on-campus courses.

Mississippi State's course is just your typical good public course.

I'm pretty sure most all are similar considering its not funded by private or club money.

UGAs is older but pretty and challenging (it’s a long, classic course). Only downside is that for a variety of reasons we can’t build an actual 19th hole on the course (the golf teams have really nice separate locker rooms and facilities but the general public has an older building for the pro shop and self-serve eatery). The driving range facilities are really nice.

This won’t be open to public but UGA will have a de facto 2nd course in the next year or 2 about 12 miles up the road. “The Rose” is a private, American links course being funded and built by Bubba Watson, Brain Harman, Russell Henley, Chris Kirk, and all the other UGA golfers on tour to serve as their own sort of golf club in Athens but also to provide UGA golfers with an additional practice ground

A.L. Gustin is on-campus, but nowhere close to one of the best courses around CoMo.

I've played quite a few and UGA's was far nicer than most of the others, especially after the renovation.

I think most of the other schools play/practice at local country clubs rather than an on-campus facility. Most schools have built on-campus indoor/outdoor practice centers with Trackmans, short game areas, simulators, etc. in lieu of an actual on-campus 18 hole course.

I think that’s what my son’ll study at UF. Plant Sciences has a Golf and Sports Turf Management minor. Who knows though?

State's on campus course is decent, but the intercollegiate teams call Old Waverly home. I think the on campus course is still $5 to play without a cart. Its used as a learning lab for the PGM students.

However, they have a great Pro Shop and the best MSU gear.

The University of Texas Golf Club is about as nice as it gets, first class practice facilities, great course in hill country between Lake Austin & Lake Travis, indoor/outdoor Tennis, Swimming, Fitness Center, Events & Wedding Venues, and Casitas to stay on Course. The Spieth 40 Par 3 opened there a few years back.

but certainly not on-campus
