The Arky/UK debacle is fascinating. Obviously, Arkansas got conned harder than just about any basketball program ever has. But no one outside of Lexington really thinks Mark Pope will do anything of importance. Couldn't have happened to two better programs.

Pope started here with one recruit in hand. He built a team from nothing in April to a top 25 team. Much better first season here than his mentor Rick Pitino. With the injuries we’ve had it is remarkable that we are this competitive, so I feel good about the future.

This sums me up as well. What a great job he has done assembling a very good team, and we know now he can recruit, so this is going to be a fun ride.
Being excited about basketball again is going to be great for Kentucky fans.

I look at recruiting like fishing… can he put em in the boat. Talent evaluation is a little beyond that and I was really impressed with his building the team with the right pieces and parts. If Krissa, Robinson, and Butler were all healthy right now I would be scouting some FF tix…

Yep, it's refreshing to have a coach with a system and then get players that fit that system and see it executed.
