Could we just make Nashville the spot for all SEC championship games?

I mean it’s an awesome party town. It really is. And if you’re going to give some team a home advantage why not Vandy?

If you’re going to spend tons of money on tickets and a hotel why not be in Nashville and make it an awesome gig?

I could say the same thing about New Orleans but I think it gives LSU too much of an advantage.

It should rotate

Nashville
Dallas/Houston
New Orleans
Atlanta
Tampa/Orlando
Birmingham

But the SEC likes to lock up long term deals with cities (Hoover/Atlanta). Oh well.

Dallas is the HQ for the XII. It’ll never go there. Houston I can see.

It will remain in Atlanta for at least the next 20 years. The Centennial Yards Development guarantees that. The 1st 2 buildings (high rise hotel, and high rise apartments) are nearing completion and the entertainment district podium is coming out of the ground and will be ready for World Cup next summer. It will have another 250 key hotel, a 5200 seat concert/event arena, and Cosm. Cosm is a 70,000 sqft immersive sports viewing arena under a dome. Not to mention a ton of restaurants, bars, and retail around the plaza. The development has a master plan of 20+ other multi use buildings coming behind all of the above.

If you think Atlanta is losing the SECCG, you are just wrong. Centennial Yards will fill in all of the barren asphalt lots and and old buildings that has been known as “The Gulch” for several decades. It will be regarded as one of the most significant urban developments of its kind in U.S. history.

Unless there is some unknown contract between the SEC and some Atlanta developer, this is one stupid post.

It’s definitely not leaving anytime soon, there’s a reason why Atlanta has hosted the Olympics and is hosting the World Cup along with one of the semifinal games

I think out of 10 years 7 should be in Atlanta.

After that I think 3 over a course of a decade should be split between Nashville,Dallas and New Orleans.

The other sports aren't really a concern to me but I like the baseball tournament in Alabama, it seems to fit the spirit of the league.

Aggie and Tiger fans would disagree.

It’s more SEC than Austin or Dallas.

Nissan Stadium will hold about 60 thousand and have a dome. Mercedes-Benz stadium in Atlanta is only slightly larger at 65k.

So Nashville is an option in 2027.

Stadium size is not the only thing when deciding where events are held. Atlanta can accommodate way more people than Nashville can hell the only city listed here that can rival Atlanta in that is Dallas

I’d go to it in Nashville. I have zero urge or motivation to drive to bum frick Alabama or Atlanta for a tournament or championship.

Here we go again with this stupid argument. Nashville can host an NFL game and NHL game at the same time and easily handle a quarter million for CMA every year but we couldn't handle a single football game? Next, please tell me about how our airport couldn't handle the traffic. I always enjoy those.

Quite literally never said that, I said Atlanta can accommodate more which is accurate

Atlanta hosts 4 pro teams, has hosted the Olympics, and will be a host city for the World Cup as well as hosting one of the two semifinal games
