Bama does this every year it seems, but when SEC play opens, reality sets in. They seem pretty solid this year. Time will tell

K. Aloy stats will go down obviously. But man he’s fun to watch. The ball just sounds different coming off his bat. Even when he doesn’t homer, it’s just different

After this weekend UF is in a meat grinder, top 10 FSU midweek, then series against #1 Tennessee, #3 UGA, FSU midweek again, then #17 Ole Miss, #12 Vandy, and FSU again.

Expecting more of the same this year. If we keep the weekend starters healthy I’m thinking .500 in SEC play isn’t out of the picture

Gross...not even a break in the midweek

There is some truth to this. Hopefully this year is different

We'll likely be around .500 like we have been the last few years. If we're 16-14 we'll probably host a regional. If we're 14-16 we'll be a #2 a seed somewhere.
We have a very good, deep lineup and 2 high level starting pitchers with Zane and Quick, but the pitching depth past that is pretty meh.

OOC hasn’t been nearly as strong as past Mingione scheduling. Interested in seeing how big the rebuild is for Kentucky this year.

Seems like outside of the weekend tourneys that a few teams played in, a lot of soft OOC scheduling going around this year (Florida being the notable exception with some good in state programs convenient to them).

Not very many pre-conference weekend 3 game series between big programs outside of in-state rivalries anymore. Schools like getting to play multiple big programs in 1-2 of the tournaments/classics instead, which makes sense.
I'm trying to figure out what the biggest SEC on campus OOC 3 game series (non-rivalry) is and I legitimately can't pick one. Washington State at Arkansas maybe?

For Kentucky, I wonder if they’re in the donut hole of “nah we don’t want to pick up a loss” to us after the CWS appearance and they’re having a hard time getting upper level teams to play them.
Mingione usually doesn’t shy away from tough OOC.
