Probably an unpopular decision, but I think I’m resting my team after the Auburn game….heck, I might even start now. Fresh legs and minds will be important in the big dance.

Your right, the SEC Tournament doesn't matter. This year has always been about Final Four or bust.

SEC tourney should have been cancelled around covid and never brought back.

Rest? These guys are elite athletes in the prime of their lives. They just had several days of "rest" and it still didn't help them against Tennessee.
I'm all for winning everything and anything possible. They need it also for in game situations, like learning how to inbound a ball or at the very least use of of your available timeouts.

Would you rather be the 1 seed in the West, or 2 seed in the East? It might be better in the East. The 1 & 2 will eventually play anyway if it holds to chalk. Less travel and time zone issues. A 1 seed looks good, but doesn’t really matter. The media needs to create drama for eyeballs.

I’m still overjoyed to know it doesn’t matter. Too many years we’ve experienced the wandering of the tourney desert and we had to wish and pray to make a strong SEC tourney run just to be considered. To answer your question though I don’t care about seeding as much as I care about who we match up with on whatever side we are on. Travel shouldn’t matter these days. Ideally would like it to be closer to home so our fans can attend

Not a lot of close places for most fans to travel. 1st/2nd the closest is Lexington.

If we make it to sweet 16 Atlanta is a possibility. Everything else is a haul. I would be down for Lexington, Dayton or Cleveland as I’ve got friends I could see.

Probably not a popular opinion but these guys are so jekyll and hyde that I doubt they make it any further than the sweet 16.

There isn't one team that's a LOCK to make it past the sweet 16 right now. Not one.
Auburn? Only once with Bruce Pearl have they made it TO the sweet 16.
Duke? Probably your safest bet. Lehigh ring a bell though?

I sadly agree. I could see us getting bounced in the second round if we draw a Creighton or the like.

This team has all the tools, but can’t do the simple things. Turnovers and stupid fouls will end us in the tourney. Lazy defense and rebounding will if not the aforementioned things.

We have a lot of problem areas that seem to be getting worse. The way we have choked in the biggest games down the stretch doesn’t give my any confidence we’re a title contender.

I’m definitely not getting my hopes up, but this team could still win it all if they get their shite together. Don’t see that happening though.

They are guilty of a lot of the hallmarks of teams that get upset in the first weekend to be quite honest. I see a 2nd weekend upset by seeding happening because I'm a homer after all.

Harsh critics. Go on the road to an NCAA 1 seed, lose on a heave 3 point shot after our coaches made some really elementary errors in the final 35 seconds. I thought our guys played their a$$es off yesterday and to be honest, they deserved to win. Alabama entered the UT game coming off back to back double digit top 25 wins coasting to victory over UK and dismantling MSU. Alabama leads the country in rebounds per game and defensively they have made big strides since the Mizzou game. I think they are going to surprise a lot of people.

They did, but shockingly that is the only time they have made it past the round of 32 in his 10 years prior to this year.

I think you’re wrong as Duke and Auburn are definitely the media and refs favorite. They will be protected at all costs to make sure they make it to the elite 8 at least. Bama and others will have to earn theirs. Auburn and Duke are good teams no doubt, but on a neutral court, every team playing their best…I like Bamas odds to win it!!

So if we go 0-2 in these last 2 games, does it drop us to a #2 seed? 1-1?

I think we need to got 1-1 to have a shot at the 1 seed but really need to go 2-0 to be in a good position. Unfortunately, we got the frick you draw from Bitch arse Sankey.

And an interesting tidbit, they very well could have and should have lost the first round game of their Final Four year.
The new Mexico State player had 3 free throws in the last second to take the lead and I believe he made only 1 of 3 to lose by 1.

Agreed. And I’m excited to see this team in the tourney.

I’m back on board. This team has it all in front of them, knowing we can beat any of top teams if we lock in. Specifically on defense.
