BaseVOLS too low per the usual

Lot of these top teams will play 1 or 2 teams with a pulse before the conference season starts.
Is it better to get tested early or build up confidence run ruling high school teams?

There's a better than zero chance that LSU is 22-0 heading into its series at Texas.

A&M wont be 1 very long
Why is that? Do you think we screw up vs Cal Poly this weekend?

That is 10 of the 15 teams you could play. Or 67%. Playing 7/10 is the most likely statistical outcome.
A&M plays 7 too.

Yeah, your schedule is pretty light.. best chance for a loss is probably one of those 4 games in Dallas.

And Ole Miss should be ranked. 2-1 against strong competition this weekend. I look for State & Ole Miss to be better this year. We are both a few years from the NC’s. Tennessee will take a step back though they will still be solid. LSU looks very strong but it is difficult to win every OOC game.
Baseball will mirror basketball this season. Going to be difficult to sweep any team in a given weekend. 2/3 will be the standard.
Just don’t see anyone getting to 20 conference wins though anything is possible.

Tennessee isn't taking a step back. Pitching is deeper than last year and that doesn't even count AJ Russell yet. There are about 7-8 position players that are going to be competing against each other for 2-3 spots all year which will only make them better. Defense and fielding will be better too.

Tennessee will no doubt be a great team, but you don’t lose the production and leadership from CMo, Burke, Connell and others without taking a step back.
Should be a fun season in the SEC

I think you probably need a bit of both.
Definitely want to know who you can rely on against tough competition, and also need some low or no-pressure situations to play with lineups and pitching.
OOC sos and record are pretty meaningless for SEC baseball programs when it comes to tournament considerations, anyway
