Pettiford, Broome, Johnson, and Jones hit a few.

alabama’s game is modern day NBA, which is considered to be very boring and causing a collapse in ratings. The NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, is about to make major rule changes for the 3 point line. All they do is drive and get a layup/dunk or kick out for a three.

They broke down Oats analytics on it during the game. Seems he actively discourages that shot, and his approach seems to work

Yeah its the most consitent our program has ever been. I wish we could cut the 6-8 horrible 3 ball attempts but then again thats our style. AU was super poised today and when focused is clearly the best team in America

I prefer the top shelf stuff in my J’s but I’m kinda rich af.

I haven’t smoked mid since high school, so I guess I kinda miss it too, for nostalgia’s sake.

Blame your coach it’s how he teaches.

In truth, mid range j's make no sense. The difference in pct of those that drop compared to pct. of those that drop from three land is marginal and with the three you obviously get an extra point.

Analytically what you’re saying is correct. The ability to hit a midrange jumper at the right time is very important though. Be it when threes aren’t falling or clutch time situation. They’re there when needed because they aren’t really defended either.

I also never saw a post up, and a big man try to make a love to the bucket.

We are a dribble down the court, go very fast and outrun the opposing team, shoot a half court three, get a rebound and put back.

Thats our offense. And if we’re faster than the other team, and if we’re hot, we win.

If we’re off, we struggle. And it will show in March, and maybe this week. Missouri may spank us, because Auburn just showed everyone how to.

It sucks, but unless we change and actually run a play to a mid range jumper, even watching Houston and other team, we are in for a hurting.

This is my point though. An 18 footer is only marginally easier to drain than a 21 foot shot. If your team is just awful beyond the three point line that night, they probably are gonna be off on shots just inside the three point line.

If you want to say we should drive the lane more for easy lay ups or to create easy shots for others around the rim, I'd get it. I just don't think the mid range J is the answer.

I’m not talking about an 18 footer. I’m talking about pull up jumpers from 10-12 ft.
