Pearl isn’t leaving Auburn. He’s old and he’s set it up so that his son can take over when he retires.

Indiana hasn't been a basketball school since they fired Knight.
They haven't even been the premier basketball school in their state in the last ~15 years, and the state of Indiana isn't exactly putting out the Larry Bird type of players in 2025.

It would not even be a lateral move at this point. IU BB has sunk too low. Think Nebraska football. AU BB is a top 5 program.

Pearl isn’t leaving AU. Being treated like royalty for the rest of your life has major advantages, and he isn’t going to give that up. Make another F4 or win a NC and he’ll have statue, street name, building, etc.
I’m hoping Oats sees it that way at Bama as well, but think he’ll scratch the NBA itch eventually. Hopefully he can get us another F4 or two and maybe a NC before that happens, but I’m thankful for what he’s done already.

He has spent the last 11 years turning AU into a basketball school.
Much as the rest of the SEC would like to see him leave, y'all are stuck with him at AU until he retires. He ain't going anywhere.

Pearl is going to retire at auburn and his son will take over , that's his deal and that's why he will never leave until he wants to hang it up.
