LSU and Ohio St. have won those titles with three different coaches:

LSU
Nick Saban (2003)
Les Miles (2007)
Ed Orgeron (2019)GOAT

Ohio St.
Jim Tressel (2002)
Urban Meyer (2014)
Ryan Day (2024)

These programs have proven they can win multiple championships without a GOAT coach!

Welcome

LSU remains the only athletic program to have 3 national titles in 2 major sports this century.

Greatest athletic program in the world.

No sir, bama was here the whole time.

They just couldn't win any titles with the prior three coaches (Dubose,Franchione and Shula).

LSU and Ohio St have won titles with 3 different coaches this century. That's impressive!

Time will tell if bama can win a title in the modern era without the GOAT!

Alabama should be listed twice by this standard.

Dubose won the SEC somehow(Shaun Alexander).

The other 2 had to coach a team that was under sanctions. Limited scholarships, bowl bans, etc.

Fran could have won the SEC in 2002, but Alabama was banned from the SECCG that year despite winning the west. That's what made it such a kick in the nuts when he left. Things were looking up and he's off to A&M.

Shula had promise in 2005 until the Prothro injury. Probably could have won the SEC otherwise. Ended up losing to LSU in OT and then Auburn instead.

Like I said, they didn't get it done.

Don't forget Bama had 6 coaches (Perkins,Curry,Stallings,Dubose,Franchione,Shula) that won only 1 NC (Stallings 1992) from 1983-2006 between Bear and Nick.

I'm just saying what Nick accomplished is incredible, but LSU and Ohio St have proven that they can win multiple titles with different coaches in the modern era.

Bama will get the chance to see if they can do it now that the GOAT is gone.

*USC was screwed and unequivocally the best team.

**Down year across the board. Otherwise a 2-loss LDU never gets in.

***played an unpracticed Tua which resulted in an uncharacteristically sluggish start. Bama wins easily if Tua was 100%.

Sadly, Auburn lost in 2013 or we would have had three as well
