I don't remember the students looking this dorky 20 years ago. You guys need to prevent that dude wearing the coconut bikini from being the main representative of your basketball fanbase. It's a bad look.

They’ve always been a collection of dorks, dweebs and geeks with a hefty side of trailer park

It’s an odd mix for sure

Always laugh at this because Tuscaloosa has it's fair share of mobile home trailer parks

True, but none are anywhere near campus or in town really. Mostly in the rural areas of the county and practically no UA students live in them.

All joking aside though and I have to begrudgingly give credit where it's due, I know of AU students in the past who thru them or their parents would go in alone or halfsies on buying/finanancing one of the heavily student occupied trailer park communities along Wire Rd. They more or less ended up with a mostly if not fully paid for trailer by graduation that they could either sell or rent out to future students. Hate to admit it but it's pretty damn clever

I always laugh at the trailer park slur. They may live in trailers while in school, but they get valuable degrees and move into actual houses.

Unlike Bama fans.

It may just be me, but I’ve always felt basketball student sections are nerdier across the board

It was clever, and there weren't many apartments in Auburn in those days -- mainly trailers and dumpy old houses. Pretty typical college stuff in those days.

All that is changing rapidly and most students live in apartments now, either on or off campus.

Many of the trailer parks only allowed students and had a clubhouse, pool, tennis courts and other amenities. Not to mention a small yard and patio. It wasn't a bad set up at all.

That's embarrassing. If he didn't lose a bet, he should be expelled immediately.
