Seems Sankey hasn't learned his lesson at all, they are going to keep expanding this until the national championship gets played the day after the Superbowl.

I predict ratings will plummet further and further, this cheapens everything we love about college football.

Games mean nothing, Ohio State can lose to Oregon and get its soul crushed in the final regular seaaon game against a 7-5 Michigan, and this means nothing now because they were 1 hot streak away from a natty.

Bring back the BCS!

Prosposal:

4 auto-bids each for SEC & Big 10
2 auto-bids each for ACC & Big 12

2 bids for G5 teams and Notre Dame

This means Notre Dame will be in the playoffs every damn year, and we will see 3 or even 4 loss teams get in some seasons

Get ready for some 4 loss team to scrape in and go on a hot streak and win a natty. Total shitshow, anything after 2023 should be called Invitational Champion or something like that

Everybody knows it’s gonna end up at 16. Just go ahead and do it so we can be done with this.

Someone decided several years ago that college football was getting too big for its britches and something needed to be done about it.

Amazing the wheels that have been put in motion to completely destroy the very things that made college football so great.

What would you like to happen? We had the computers & human polls...but people wanted an actual p/o.
Then we had 1 & people (me included) said the size was too small.
That lasted ~10 years & the size/format grew.

After 1 year, people are complaining it's too big.

And those people are retarded. 4 was perfectly fine.

Money has ruined the sport.

I would like to see Shankey fired and find somebody who is focused on SEC first. We would have been perfectly fine not letting Texas and Oklahoma in and declaring the SEC championship game as the national champions, frick everybody else.

I think 8 is the perfect number. We saw a bunch of undeserving teams in the playoffs this year and they still want to expand? How much later are they going to push the NC game?

The auto bid shite needs to go away entirely outside of conference champs who should get in (though future discussions on if the acc or big12 champs deserves auto bids needs to happen). Should just be the top 8 best teams. The big 10 and sec conference champs are always going to be in the top 8 regardless. Why the hell should the acc and big 12 get two auto bids?

So what? Did it mean less that the 9-7 NY Giants won the Super Bowl? Should Brady get another ring because NY lost 7 games?

comparing college football to the nfl is completely brainless

They are practically different sports in so many ways

10 game all conference schedule for seeding in a 6 round 128 team playoff (all higher seed hosted until semi finals, with play starting week after the end of regular season with one week between games, and a bowl concept for semis and finals) is the only path to a true champion, obviously.

FCS level can have 16 team playoff. Why can’t the FBS? You want something to complain about? How about going to a 10 game schedule and 8 conference games. Two Marquee OOC games and then straight to the playoff format. Have this shite wrapped up by New Years
