UGA beat Texas twice. Hard to say Texas was the better team.

However, UGA had a close one against GA Tech and lost to Notre Dame.

So, is it as simple as they lost their starter? Did the backup cost UGA the ND game.

I’d expect most would say UGA v Ohio State would have been a better championship game.

I’m not sure why UGA didn’t make it. What are your thoughts on what happened to UGA at the end of the season?

We were talented but not good this year. The offense could not focking score in the first half to save their life

Even the completed passes were like 5 yd gains to dudes in traffic that got knocked the second they caught the ball. It was the opposite of explosive and just seemed physically grueling with all the hits the receivers took. Nothing ever came easy

Other than that the fact that Texas is ranked ahead of us even with 3 losses is kinda ghey but it is what it is

They have a good squad but I don’t think they go past the sweet 16

The offensive line was a big buzzkill this season and it's still a buzzkill heading into next season. Our center is the # 1 center on Mel Kiper's big board. Left guard is the #4 guard on Mel Kiper's big board and the right guard is the #5 guard on Mel Kiper's big board. Right tackle will also be drafted and he has to be at least 25 year's old. Yet we finished 15th in the SEC and rushing offense and also got the quarterback killed.

It was bizarre. And it makes it hard to get excited about the '25 season.

You lose your starting QB that late in the season and you aren’t going to be your best.

You can’t be less than your best against top teams. Does Georgia beat ND with Carson Beck? We will never know.

Georgia’s play throughout the season ranged from average to very good. Never really had a game where they looked great. The OL was a major disappointment and some of our WRs literally looked like they had some type of palsy when the ball was a yard from there body. I have never seen a WR group have their hands in some of the twisted up positions as ours did the moment before the ball arrived. And other times they would try to cradle catch and the ball would bounce off their pads or chest. Just very fundamentally unsound.

They were also average to slow at cutting off the edge. Seems our LBs were usually a step behind in pursuit. Finally, it was the worst tackling DB group I have seen at UGA since Willie Martinez was there. In retrospect, I am left wondering how they pulled off a 10-2 season and a SEC Championship. Feels like we just matched up well with Texas in key positions.

Simple...they lost their qb!
You could say georgia beating texas was a fluke, but beating them twice, proves that theory wrong!

Well they're the reigning SEC champs (arguably with the toughest conference schedule) so not much has changed.
