LSU is number one of course. So much for bama fans thinking they have the best team ever. Fourth

I wish LSU would compete for titles again so their fans would talk about now instead of obsessing over five years ago.

They still haven't accepted that Saban is gone and they are in decline.

An article written by a guy who looks like he's been watching college football for less than 10 years.

It really is. This feels like the 15th thread about 2019 LSU this week, and it’s only Wednesday.

Genuine question: If you describe Alabama as being “in decline,” then how would you describe the current state of LSU since LSU still got blown out at home by Alabama this season?

If DeBoer loses 4, 3 and 4 games in the next 3 years and we still celebrate and claim he is a top tier coach and that we are national contenders every year, I will agree.

Bama fans can play this game too:

CBS (2020 Bama #1, 2019 LSU #2)

USA Today (2020 Bama #1, 2019 LSU #3)

ESPN SP+ Paywall (2020 Bama #1, 2019 LSU #2)

F+(a combination of SP+ and FEI) doesn't even have 2019 LSU as the #1 overall team in 2019. #1 offense, but their defense isn't even in the top10 and it hurts them in the overall.

This metric is calculated by analyzing a team's statistics compared to other teams' statistics in the SAME year. It has ZERO validity in comparing any two teams from different years. It can arguably be used to determine the best team in a SINGLE SEASON, but anyone who uses this to determine the Greatest of ALL TIME is gaslighting you. And, yes, I have multiple degrees in Mathematics.
There is NO metric that can determine which team is the GOAT college football team...and that's why so many fans love to argue about it.
The GOAT? '71 Nebraska, '95 Nebraska, '01 Miami, or '19 LSU

Just reading comments like these, you wouldn't think Bama's last title is only a year removed from LSU's.

Alabama has made the playoff twice since. Alabama has been the first team out twice since.

Notice I said compete for titles, Sidewalk Harry.

2019 LSU is #2 in the F+ rankings....for the same season. Meaning, they aren't even considered the best team in 2019.

Again, the reason is because they have a horrible defense, coming in at #14.

These are the moral victories Alabama fans are forced to cope with since tDecline started.
