HY was about to pull the trigger on Keith Smart before the chicken man stepped in.
It's amazing and AD like HY was out there and John White wasn't able to find him, had he back in 07, Arkansas would be established as an academic first school by now which was whites dream.

Maybe, maybe he had to step up because Hunter got bullied by a retard who wanted a new contract, especially after the fat man got one for the same bullying.

While I am a fan of our sports, I can't say Arkansas spending time and money on improving our academics would upset me.

That’s what I cheer for, all the communications majors.

I always wondered what could have been had had HY rewarded the success of Muss while holding Tits to some accountability.
Everybody now see’s the nature of the beast. You can construct big money rosters but the kids have to buy in and apply themselves. Muss last year was a disaster but I wonder how much of that was not being rewarded for success combined with players not gelling.
Then throw in the “you’re still here” childish leadership HY showed. Its mo wonder Muss took a step down to go to USC where 3k people may show up for a game.
He pretty much checked out his last year. We can say he soured relationship with boosters, but you see where boosters get you. Saddled to a bad contract with a washed up coach.
Another in the long list if failure in leadership by HY.

I like having a variety of athletes and scholars on campus, whatever sport or field of study. It makes for a healthy mix, which is crucial for multi-generational success.
Since Vandy has passed us in major sports, catching up scholastically is our best recourse. I say the big money goes to Bell; we go back to being an option team, and bring in an Eddie guy to run some Iba. To hell with that Princeton crap.

Someone needs to study what Chris beard does, seems he’s had success everywhere he’s been.

Well we do know he hits women… But agree 100% - can’t believe OM appears to be fielding a better squad than us 2 years in a row. There’s no reason for us to not beat them 9.9/10 times.

A few posts above you, people blame boosters for our lack of success.
Ole miss is successful because of their boosters support and demand of success.
Arkansas will be stuck in mediocrity forever. There's enough corporate money up there to sell the expensive suites and premium seats year after year, despite record. There's literally nothing else to do in this state. There are a ton of folks on this very board that will continue to stroke 5 figure checks annually to the foundation because "well its about more than wins and losses".

Or maybe we should have had an AD who closed the deal with Beard when he had the chance and told him I'm not leaving until you are on the plane with me like Bill Battle did when he hired Nick Saban.
Hunter has to be on the thinnest of ice right now.
