It's mind boggling to me how we can be where we are.

Offensive line "guru" as a head coach, you would think at least the line would be a strong point.

Hall of Fame, national champion coach with highly talented players, you would think you could win a conference game.

I could go on and on. We're truly a cursed program. Top to bottom.

It's fricking embarrassing.

I'm so damn sick of this crap.

We finally had a coach that lived and breathed basketball. A guy that would get pissed off after losses. A guy that poured his heart and soul into coaching basketball. He took us to places we hadn't been in almost 30 years. And our stupid frick AD/Boosters didn't do everything they could to keep him.

The fans don't deserve this bullshite. But the AD/Boosters need to use their fricking brains for once.

Sadly Muss was and is a west coast guy. Then a billionaire had a bright fricking idea. And of course our dip shite AD took the credit and ran with it, truly sad.

For a coach like him.. You do whatever it takes to keep him. I just refuse to believe that we did everything to keep him here.

We literally let the best basketball coach we've had in decades leave. So fricking stupid.

He won 6 conference games last season, he wanted out and it wasn't hard to see.

He was gone, way before he was gone...

Already had his coach seats on delta picked at mid season.

BUt, yes... Yes... We are cursed as a program. I am beginning to fall in line in the love/hate relationship of our program.

Unfreakingbelievable. I wasted DVR space for this crap.

Hy should have been fired at halftime.... I don't care if someone stuff a tied up naked midget in his trunk and calls the french police. Something has to be done...

Whew...

He’s not doing any better this season either, he might have ran his course here regardless.

Welcome to the dark side Rev.
We all knew you'd come around.

But was it because he just wanted to go home? Or was it because we have a bunch of dumb asses that told him to kick rocks?

He's a paltry 10–6, but it's his first year and USC isn't exactly known for being a basketball destination, so he was probably a little more behind there than he was here his first year.

I'm glad we hired Cal because it showed we cared. Our past two football hires have shown we could not possibly give fewer fricks than we do. Even with baseball, the refusal for DVH to make staffing changes after the disastrous post-season the past two years is so defeating. But is Cal the basketball Jimbo? I mean, most likely. It's just his first year and I don't think we should expect too much of him - the SEC is curiously strong this year, with incredible coaching investments. But there was a chance this could reignite his passion. If it doesn't? Let's just not give him the Jimbo treatment of the $75m buyout and ridiculous extensions. We made a statement hire and if it's looking like not so much of a statement in a couple years, just move on. We shouldn't be as hopeless in basketball as we are football. We honestly shouldn't even be as hopeless in football as we are. The past two hires have made zero sense. Bert made decent sense on paper, but it was time for him to go after 2016. I don't know what our fricking deal is when we watch teams historically on our level or lower cut coaches loose after just a couple years. We make lateral or backwards hires and then let them string us along at a snail's pace and I don't get what makes us so different from every other school with our resources and fan support.

I'm so tired of this mediocre crap that I just can't even muster the energy to get mad.
My kids want to go to games and I keep telling them, wait until we are good again..... sheesh, they may be grown and out of the house by then.....
I guess we will just get baseball and softball tickets again this year.... seems to be the only things we can break the top half of the conference in. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

His only skill was talent acquisition. When everyone pays players, it’s a useless skill. That’s why Saban retired and Kirby hasn’t won the past two.

Coach Cal has had 5 people drafted in like every draft, but 1 NC. It was a stupid hire when Hunter did it, it’s a stupid hire now. It will be a stupid hire in the future. If our last coach wasn’t an abrasive twat, he could have had the billionaires getting him players and the skill to win with them.

If he didn't bring everyone he wanted from his previous school and have a top 5 NIL budget i might agree with you.

I’m glad more people are coming around! It wasn’t a football problem it’s an athletic department problem. Because an AD worth a frick would not accept the shite we’ve seen from our football program. If Hunter is willing to accept the product on the football field, by far the biggest revenue generator on campus, just think about what he’ll be okay with in other sports.
