This Notre Dame is the real deal. Remarkable how much they’ve improved since Freeman took over and how they’re competitive in playoff games now.

They do look vastly improved over any other previous Notre Dame playoff team we’ve seen in the past. Having said that, I’m still not sure they win this game, or if it even matters. I’d say odds are good whoever wins this one will lose the next to either Texas or tOSU.

Once they figured out how to get past Penn State's defense, Penn State has struggled to stop them. ND made meaningful adjustments. Penn State didn't make any adjustments.

Agreed. And he had a big mess to clean up when he took over.

If you think this Penn State team compares to 2012 Alabama, 2018 Clemson, or 2020 Alabama then you’re delusional.

Yes Kelly had them in pretty bad shape. Him leaving saved the program! Lolo

I’m not sure what he said in his post that indicates he was comparing either of these 2024 teams to the ones you mention.

Are you unable to draw conclusions? This 2024 ND team would get boat raced by any of the teams that beat ND under Kelly.

11-1 team he inherited and team before that was 10-2 and so forth. Lots of players starting their 50th game. Lost to North Illinois and you SOB hid in a closet. LOL

It seem this more of a matter of you being quite able to jump to conclusions.

Probably. But no one, including the OP has said otherwise. Furthermore, what does that matter since none of those teams still exist as they did in the years you mentioned

Yet Freeman beat Texas A&M and USCw. BK? BK lost to USCw and Texas A&M. How is that not better than what BK did at LSU?

Was that even the question? Are you an idiot? One was 6-6 with 38 players and all new coaches. The other was 11-1, with 85 players and intact coaching staff - apples to oranges LOL

Wow, I had no idea this was such a sensitive subject to LSU fans. I, for one, am glad to see Notre Dame back at the top after how mediocre they were post-Lou Holtz.
