Obviously Tennessee-Florida is the big game, but amongst contenders, Kentucky, Auburn and State also have opportunities to get a road win. That's what the SEC will come down to - who can win more games on the road.

Right now home teams are 7-1 on the season.

Wish we had a different tip time, would’ve liked to have seen that UT/UF game. Should be a really good one.

20 straight SEC losses, LSU is the perfect squad to break that against.

We are competitive in men's basketball again, yay! That is all I can ask for.

Now watch us get clobbered tonight.

It will depend on how it is officiated. If they let them play UF won’t be able to match UT physicality.

While that's always true in basketball, it's an especially good observation going into this season.

Based on what we presume in early January, stealing a Q1/away conference win should be exceedingly difficult.

I think we can this year, but Golden has a short bench and we can't sustain it. We are a much more physical team than we were just a year ago. So I guess you are correct. But Tennessee seems to have a short bench as well so we shall see. Our team is still trying to figure out what we are good at and what we are not good at. I think the ball pressure applied by your guards to disrupt our offense will be the difference in the game. We don't have a true point guard.

Vanderbilt opened as a small favorite (-1.5), and it quickly went to State -2.5. a 4 point swing is pretty big. I would think a lot of big money comes back on Vanderbilt today and/or the Vanderbilt ML gets hammered. This reeks of one of those times the whales destroy the public.

All to say, weird to think Vanderbilt is the favorite in this game, even though it's tough to play at their dump of a gym. Seems like it could be a rough night for State fans, but maybe yall can pull out a close one.

Would be good for the SEC if State wins tonight though. That would set up nicely for State/KY on Saturday.

Vandy is 13-1 and flying under the radar. I have not watched them play yet but I think they play a small quick lineup that will turn you over. Never an easy win playing in their quirky gym.

Especially early on. Most of the fanbases have high hopes given how well they all performed out of conference, so road environments are all going to be really hostile until some teams start to fade and their attendance slacks. Said another way, road wins against teams that end up in the middle/back of the pack are going to be tougher in January than March.

I’ll pull it up on the computer. Big screen is Kentucky only during game time.

The key for the Gators seems to be keeping Chinyelu out of foul trouble and on the court. We made some nice runs Saturday when he was on the bench.

Agreed, but our other big, Sam Alexis, who has played lots of minutes for us this season, only got 5 minutes vs UK. Not sure if he just had a bad game or what, but basically playing a 7 man rotation and at the pace we play, is going to make for some weary legs at the end of both halves.

State has looked excellent at times and uninspiring other nights. Keeping Matthews out of foul trouble seems to be a huge deal for this team. He’s one of the best glue guys in college basketball.

Vandy may have played a weak schedule so far but 13-1 is 13-1. And State has some not great history in that gym. Interesting game for sure.

Yea, I'm glad our game is a 9pm for the same reason.
