Interesting read on Grubb and his refusal to adapt his play calling based on who he was

playing.

Do the Alabama faithful feel the same about DeBoer? With so much blame being heaped on Milroe and just the fact he wouldn't change QBs, never really knew if his or his OC's actual playcalling was being questioned.

Anyone that watched a Bama game this year and compared it to what Washington was doing the last two years could tell immediately that our entire offensive identity was handcuffed by who we had playing QB.

Our entire playbook was probably a glorified Waffle House menu due to Milroe’s limitations & Jekyll/Hyde tendencies.

Outside of JM, did you run the ball well? Seems like you didn't, but I really didn't follow you that closely game to game.

4.8 a carry on non jalen runs, which is roughly y'all + 15-20%.

A coach getting bullied by his QB, classic

It’ll be interesting to see which player(s) bully DeBacle next season. Wouldn’t shock me at all to see him handing out water while the players call plays.

Heaven forbid he go against mUh LaNk

Coaches are notoriously stubborn to their ways. That was a criticism of Freeze this year. Trying to pass too much when you had one of the top RB’s in the conference in the backfield.

Georgia fans would cum there pants if Kirby fired his jet ski buddy Bobo and hire Ryan Grubb.

How would a sportswriter know if a coach is "adapting" or not?

Sportswriters don't know shite.

Maybe they played junior high tennis.

It’s hard to judge Sheridan with Milroe at QB. We frequently had wr’s running wide open but JM just couldn’t see them. Was it coaching or just the QB’s limitations? It remains to be seen. My complaint is a lack of effort to establish a traditional run game.

(But koreadawg is most likely an LSU fan, so stat may not be accurate).

Just more evidence that the coaching staff at Washington last season caught lightning in a bottle, I mean Gene Chizik won a Natty with Cam. The sample size on Grubb and Debawer was way too small to,justify the jobs they fell into.

Not really but that was due in large part to Milroe making the wrong reads, feeding himself the ball when the RB had a wide open lane and vice versa.

Gotta give a guy a chance to get his guys in, but DeBoer did an awful job with very good to great talent this year. That's all anyone knows at this point.

Not adapting your system to your players is not coaching. It's ideology.

Don't recall saying we ran the ball well. If you're measuring stick is Georgia. you're shooting pretty low, hoss.

Just checking and you guys were at or near the top in YPC whether looking all games, conference games, ranked teams, etc.

The thing is though, this is worst rushing year for the SEC in quite some time. Tennessee led the league at just over 5 yards per carry (5.03)in all games. In previous years there has always been at least two better than that and sometimes as many as five. Stats only go back 8 years, but I can't find a worse leader in that span.
