What would you change about the CFP to make it better for next year?
It will still be 12 team playoff.

Byes for the actual top 4 ranked teams. No auto byes. I like the auto bids though.

Start the playoff weekend of Army Navy

I heard someone suggest Army Navy game move to Week O. Which I think would be good. All the teams that had a bye lost. So a bye didn't help them this year. It be interesting to see if the committee changes anything.

The 5&6 seeds getting an easier path than the 1&2 is the fix that absolutely has to happen. Either give the top 4 byes and seed them correctly from the jump or reseed after the first round.

They need to change NIL, transfer portal, etc

This is the shittiest season I’ve watched in college football. The SEC champion trailed in 10 of 14 games this year, finished in the 100s running the ball, and literally no one outside of Ohio state the last 2 weeks looks like a complete team. Next best team in SEC was Texas and needed a prayer to beat an Arizona State team that may have 2 players play in the NFL and went 3-9 last year.

The teams sucked this year. It was shite football

Simple. Take the top 12 teams and seed them how they're ranked, regardless of conference championships.

#7 Tennessee should have hosted #11 SMU, then played #2 Georgia.

#6 Ohio State should have hosted...hell, forget Bama. Take Ole Miss or USC even. The #16 team shouldn't be in. The winner plays #3 Texas.

Indiana and Boise shouidhave been the 8-9 game with the winner playing #1 Oregon.

#5 ND should have hosted Arizona State, then played#4 Penn State.

No more AQs or bumping a weak conference champ up to the top 4. Just take the top 12 and seed them accordingly.

The teams with first round byes went 0-4 in this year’s playoff.

The current NIL and transfer situation is literally the death of college football. At least everything that was great about it. Greg Sankey allowed this to happen at best and willed it to at worst. ND and Texas should win every natty from now on.

Take the top 12 in the BCS computer rankings. Forget conference championship auto qualifiers.

All games played on campuses until the semifinals.

- Expand to 16; no byes
- Seed bracket per rankings
- auto-bids for conf champs
- Home field advantage for highest seed up to final 4
- Rotation of Sugar, Cotton, Rose bowls for semis and final

Expanded playoff is here to stay so no reason not to go to 16. I never liked the month wait before bowl games and that’s basically what the bye did to these teams who all looked rusty.

Gameday atmosphere was so much better on the campus games. Multiple bowl games put too much of a financial strain on fans to travel, plus it’s a sterile environment.

Also when top 8 teams get a home field advantage it makes all games more relevant. Your second loss may be the one that sends you to South Bend or Columbus in December.

It’s pretty clear to me that the bye is not an advantage but a disadvantage you might as well just get rid of it

The playoffs are looking like a NFL season. Which is a long season for college players. Coaches will have to take on NFL tendencies like rotating players often and keeping them fresh and healthy for a long season. FBS will not copy FCS playoff schedule which is a 24 team playoff but their championship game is Jan. 6th! Best thing would be get rid of conference championships and start the playoff the first or second Saturday of December. Or what would equal at least a week off for teams.
Also, needs to be some what of a same number of games played in all conferences. If SEC doesn't want to go to 9 games then just have everyone play 8 games. In the end, college football is becoming more and more like a mini NFL rather we like it or not.

Get rid of conference championships need to start playoffs earlier so finish around Jan 10 Monday after NFL wildcard round so not competing with NFL playoffs
Semifinals need to be on Jan 1
Can rotate semifinals and championship game amongst major bowl games
First 2 rounds on campus but have to be first two weeks of December

It’s definitely a mini NFL. But all other college divisions have been doing 16 team (or more) playoffs for decades and it works.

Each playoff game makes $50 million so the bowls want to keep their greedy fingers on the games, but they just need to move them on campus until final 4
