Did an OK job with their team selection?
Yes the seeding needs to be addressed, and that alone would eliminate some of those first round blowouts. But other than that they did an adequate job given how the season played out.

Just rank the NIL payrolls and that's the seeding.

Ohio State - best team money can buy.

The team selection was fine, the fringe teams were all bad.
The seeding was largely out of their hands thanks to the rules which are stupid and hopefully they change.

Funny coming from an Alabama fan. Saban’s championship runs were built on bought rosters. Sure once the Championships started players started jumping at the chance to play for a championship program. But at both LSU and Alabama Saban came in and out of nowhere, before winning anything started bringing in elite recruiting classes

It's not the committee, it's the format.
12 teams is too many. It should go back to 4.

The only teams with any fight were auto bids. What are you talking about?

Nick Saban won’t hurt you anymore.

100% agree.
But given the current format, they did the best they could.
Blowouts happen a LOT in college football even in matchups of 2 “ranked” teams it’s just the nature of the sport.
Tennessee and Oregon getting blown out just further proves that because a team happens to get blownout, doesn’t mean the didn’t “deserve” to be in the playoff.

No. I would love to wake up tomorrow and hear that the old BCS system is coming back.

That would be the simplest solution.

Is this the narrative now? You didn't find it odd at all that every single star player you had owned a new dodge charger with a custom paint job? I mean a few one offs is one thing but every single one had the same car with a custom player based paint job? It was very clear what was happening to everyone else.

Why? That system was trash and I think you’re just too young to remember.
For instance, if we were still under BCS Bama would have had ZERO chance for a natty after the Vandy loss.
One loss and you’re done.
