There is no Milroe coalition in the locker room

Why are people thinking that there is a conspiracy from players to keep milroe as the starter? Trust me there’s not. There are plenty of players who are frustrated with Milroe’s play and it didn’t start today. Ryan Williams and Germie Bernard have been frustrated the majority of the year by their body language. This decision was made by deboer and no one else. Our coach played a liability all year long and didn’t sniff making a change.

It's interesting to me how when Milroe fans were making the case for why he should play, they would say his teammates love him and that he's won the locker room. When his critics say he's only playing because his teammates want him in there, Milroe's fans say that's an impossible conspiracy theory. Those ideas can't really coexist.

I can tell you that those WRs were tired of Milroe's shite. They may have been on Team LANK at some point but they were off the bandwagon today. You could see it in their reactions after bad plays by Milroe or when he missed them wide open.

Understandable but I have first hand knowledge that there are players who aren’t happy with him.

I think the coalition is the other captains who are also nothing more than replacement level players

If true, that means that not only DeBoer is an idiot but Saban was as well and that's ridiculous to believe. Two head coaches, three offensive coordinators with the same exact result... I just refuse to believe that many people are willfully wrong

You’re gonna tell me a true freshman WR and a portal WR gonna command that type of respect year one from established veterans? Nah I don’t think so

Also, what might have been true on Aug. 31 might not have been true on Dec. 31.

I’m as frustrated as everyone else but now that the season is over, are the back-ups really just not that good? Scary to think they could be worse but did the coaches see something in practice to never even try them in these crucial games when the offense was terrible?

Has anyone come to the conclusion that maybe, just maybe, Milroe was the best qb option we had? I'd hate to think it but it's looking more and more the case!

Why do they have to be idiots?

Maybe we are overrating Ty. I know we want something different but that doesn't mean it would be a good different.

I realized that this season... if Ty was that good both of these coaches would have gone to him. Neither did.

I also think both of these coaches are at fault for our horrible OL.

We suck even more because our OTs are trash and we can't sustain a run game

Exactly. This is so stupid.

Players want to get paid, win games, and increase their draft stock.

Milroe didn't help with any of that this year.

All the backup had to do was not be the worst quarterback of all time... it's not a huge ask

ETA: Ty Simpson has thrown 50 passes without an interception. Milroe is averaging (career) about 1 interception every 20 attempts.

Honestly since it's been two coaching staff and multiple ocs.

I have to hope that Mack or Russell is really good, because the rest of the QB room is probably not very good

I just never want to hear "win the locker room" ever again.

I need to choose my words carefully here because I don’t want to be accused of inviting in the 800-pound gorilla when it comes to Ty vs. Milroe. I’m really not.

But I think Ty checks a lot of boxes … from the Deep South, handsome kid, poised kid, coach’s son, has expressed a desire to coach someday … with folks where they want him to be our quarterback.

Honestly feel like it was really important to see how Ty or Mack perform under pressure. They can look good against Mercer doesn’t mean a thing. Now we have no clue what we have looking to next year.

I don’t think that has anything to do with it. People just want QB play that doesn’t gift the other team double digits.

He's PHYSICALLY the most talented. However, he cannot read a coverage or operate out of the pocket. Sometimes the guy with less talent IS the better option.
