We play bama, ole miss, and a&m permanently.

Bama is bama, usually a quite good team.

Ole miss will always lurk, never quite at the top but ready to trip anyone they play.

A&M hasn’t been amazing, but they’ve got a fucckton of money, so once this nil shite shakes out and people figure out how you should actually buy a program (sorry OM) they will be a top program.

Edit: I’m a fricktard

I really wouldn't have a problem with that.

All three of those are rivals.

We will never not play Ole Miss and Bama.

Aggie goes back a long time.

I’m good with it.

That’s what Bama, Ole Miss, and A&M are saying.

Not rivals, but we have played LSU every year of my life.

There are no permanent opponents yet as we are still in the dumb “bridge schedules. Nothing official past 2025 yet.

I'd rather Florida than A&M but it could be worse

Better yet have proper divisions and more even scheduling

Did I miss the SEC announcing permanent opponents after the 2024 and 2025 seasons?

No, OP is just a tard. I've also seen some of our fans melting about how we're in a 1-7-7 format and A&M is our permanent a couple of times this season when nothing of the sort has been announced. No idea where they're getting this info from

Not a real rivalry, but always one hell of a rock fight.

Not gonna dispute that Bama is LSU’s rival, but they are not Bama’s.
UT and the Barn in that order.

LSU rivals are Auburn, Florida and Ole Miss in my lifetime

is this based on some news?

I haven't heard we're going to have 3 permanent opponents yet, let alone any announcement of what those teams would be.

The reality is that with 3 permanent opponents (if that's what happens) not all 3 are going to be rivals for most reams.

These are the rivalries that I think will be protected. I'm not saying there aren't some other big rivalries in the SEC and they'll likely try to put as many of them in permanent matchups as they can... but everyone has to have 3 permanent opponents. Nobody views Vandy as a rival, but Tennessee will probably play them every year along with two other teams to give them their 3 games.

Here are the "must have's" though.

Alabama/Auburn
Alabama/Tennessee
Auburn/UGA
UGA/UF
Ole Miss/LSU
Texas/A&M
OU/Texas
Ole Miss/MSU
Vandy/Tennessee (maybe shouldn't be here, but is an in-state game)
.

That means Ole Miss, Texas, Tennessee, Bama, Auburn and UGA already have 2 of their games locked in. Their last game is much less likely going to be about "big rivalry" and much more likely to be about "getting everyone 3 permanent opponents).

That's why I think LSU playing Arkansas or Arkansas playing Texas is more likely than LSU playing Texas or Alabama... because Arkansas has none from the first list, those matchups do have some history and both Bama and LSU already have two games.

UGA is more likely to get SC for their last game for the same reason. Arkansas/Mizzou will likely be a matchup. Mizzou/OU too. Pretty much every team will have 1 or 2 games that we'd prefer to switch out but that won't be possible because of math.
