Y’all were losing momentum to the B1G and along comes Snaky Sankey to poach UT and OU from the poors of the Big 12 and rejuvenate this slunking and steamin pile. How about winning a conference championship (or even just playing in one) for the first time in your 120+ year history?
Must be nice getting to rest/heal players and scheme for your next game without getting penalized by either the BCS or playoff committee.

I beg to differ though, we didn't win the conference and the team that did is still in the playoffs and likely curb stomps the Domers even with a backup QB.

Texas just so happen to hit the tri-fecta.
They got one of the best college coaches. The best OC Saban ever had.
They got plenty of cash
They came into the SEC around the time that all happened and when other SEC teams were down or going through transition.
And lets not forget they had a great schedule.

We were? To my eyes, the B1G has 2-3 decent teams at the top and the rest are pretty much garbage. The SEC completely dominated the TV ratings again and our TV revenue is supposed to jump back on top this year or next year. How were we losing ground?
