Quinn Ewers is not a championship caliber QB and definitely not an NFL player

He lacks the 'it factor', has no fire, heart or passion for the game

It's almost like he's a zombie with no pulse playing QB, absolutely emotionless

Anyone who's watched Texas grasped this reality long ago and understands that the only thing the Horns are lacking is a competent quarterback

Thing is that we may have such a QB on our bench

Someone who can energize a stagnat offense that completely stalled against Texas A&M and Georgia

Does Sark pull his starting QB and break whatever backroom deal they forged or surrender the opportunity to compete for a championship and continue to trot out this corpse of a QB?

Arch despite being raw should have been the starter long ago and given the opportunity to evolve

Now do you throw Arch into the fire during the playoffs knowing his inexperience could be challenging or just let Ewers continue to sink the hopes of Horns' fans?

Quinn is the starter. Arch will have some packages. Quinn’s leaving after the season

Pretty simple

It’s so funny to watch Texas fans and media begging for Arch like he’s undeniably better than Ewers.

Meanwhile, Ewers is still starting with almost zero mobility and a dead arm. It’s as if Sark knows something about his QBs…?

Texas fans will never forget the day that Arch lit it up against the 3rd team defense in the spring game with no pass rush.

But yeah, run off another starting QB, that’s always turned out well for the Whorns.

Wow, Texas really does belong in the SEC. Kudos.

You know Ewers is the 3rd ranked QB in draft boards right? Dude is an NFL players. Sure he isn't a Joe Burrow or Jared Allen, but he's at least going to be in the league long enough to have a cup of coffee.

lol Ewers is not the 3rd ranked QB for the 2025 draft.

Any GM that wastes a 2-3 round pick on Ewers will be looking for a new job soon after.

It's good to know that LSU is not the only place where the second string QB is always the most popular guy on the team.

Nobody knows the true ceiling for Arch. The one guy that should know, having watched him for years now, is keeping him on the bench.

At best ... he'd likely fumble the clipboard

His "dilemma" is the whorn BMDs want to start seeing the ROI on their investment in Manning, hence all the pressure to move Ewers along to the NFL or the portal.

Never said that Arch is undeniably better than Ewers

But it's undeniable that there's zero chance that Texas can win the national championship with Ewers

Failing to score an offensive TD in your biggest home game of all-time and losing 3-straight SEC games was plenty embarrassing.

So Ballard and the Colts will draft him then?

GTFO with that, Quinn was playing great until his two injuries slowed him down.

Do I wish Sark had used Arch a little in the SECCG? Sure, that may have provided a little spark to the offense, but it also could have gone wrong..we'll never know.

The bottom line is this: that game can't be blamed on Quinn. If sideshow Bert could kick from the right hash the same way he does from the left then we win that game. You could also say Sark should know this and set him up on the left hash...but he was calling plays to get first downs and keep the drive alive, not put the game in the hands of our inconsistent special teams. We were also missing our first rounder left tackle in that game so naturally runs are going to tend to go right instead of left.

I mean sure Quinn shares a bit of blame for contributing to that loss, but there were also dropped passes/lack of WR effort and ineffective running game that contributed just as much.

This will be Arch's team next year, but if Quinn plays the next 3 games like we know he can...it will be enough.

Ewers is going to be given the opportunity, of course, to end his career at Texas with some great performances. He's shown the ability to step up in big games, and Sark still believes he's got it in him... I don't. But that's why I'll be on a couch watching the games. Besides, I doubt Team Manning wants the kid thrown into the fire right now.

Quinn Ewers is a solid QB. He definitely starts and finishes out this season.

Next season Archie Manning starts.
