Probably worth it from a Vanderbilt standpoint given the amount of attention he brought to the program and breaking Alabama.
Plus, he's probably responsible for the Vanderbilt pimp on SEC Shorts this year.
Pay the man.

You have not because you ask not.

Rev share has equaled the playing field to a certain point. Everyone has essentially an 18 million dollar fund to pay players. A lot of schools will add more through NIL.
That is why portal prices are astronomical compared to last year. Rev share is the reason.

He’s not worth it. You can find a way better ROI for 6 wins.

He cratered down the stretch big time.

Can Vanderbilt's donors afford $3 million? Sure. Should they pay it for one season? I wouldn't. Dude isn't that good.

And to think, programs get to do this dance with the same players every year.

Burn it all down.

Follow up question. Will they then have anything left for anyone else?

DP has the insight to recognize that making an NFL roster is unlikely for him. However, considering the impressive achievements he had at Vanderbilt, he deserves to secure a competitive salary before transitioning into the workforce.

They cannot afford to finish their high school level stadium renovations now.

Vanderbilt has a $9.7 billion dollar endowment. Not sure if the can use some of that for NIL.

Vanderbilt can't use a penny of their endowment on NIL, even if they wanted to.

Well it's obvious that Alabama can't.

they can, question is if they "will"
Vanderbilt is a very expensive school to attend (3rd most expensive among Power 4 schools).
and they have very wealthy alumni.
so the school and alumni base have money.
they just don't always sink it into athletics.
