People talk about a Bama bump in recrutiing. Apparently that is when an Alabama player suddenly gains a star as soon as they enter the transfer portal.

He was rated as a TE out of HS, not a WR. On3 had him as a 5 star TE and #1 in the TE position. Others had him as a 4 star. Overall he was a 4 star TE recruit.
But he wanted/wants to play WR. He is considered a 3 star as a WR transfer.

This is why Saban retired. Having to constantly kiss players butts to keep then happy whether it be recruits or players on team. Back in the day once they were on the team they were there . If they wanted to transfer they had to sit out for a year so many just stayed. Add in NIL / transfer portal it has to be exhausting being a head Coach these days.
