Any players that were hyped up in the portal and didn't come close to living up to it after transferring?

My vote from Bama is Isaiah Bond. #1 WR for the Tide towards the end of the 2023 season and bolts immediately for a Lambo lease in Austin. Probably promised more targets from an actual passing/future NFL QB.

2023 stats
48 rec 668yds 4 TD's

2024 stats
33 rec 532 yds 5 TD's

Brock Vandagriff honorary mention

Played hurt a lot and the production in key moments was still well worth the Lambo.

As a Gamecock fan this makes me smile. You also misspelled his first name. It's Judas

I thought Key Lawrence would provide us really solid depth in the secondary but he couldn't find the field and transferred out.

I don't know about "hyped up" but I don't think anyone who transferred away from LSU has really worked out.

4* Jalen Brown(WR) went to FSU.. We all know how that turned out.
4* Quency Wiggins(DE) went to Colorado and somehow got less playing time
4*Denver Harris(CB) went to UTSA and didn't play much
4*Jaxon Howard(DE) went to Minnesota and barely played

The only guy who got playing time that transferred from us was 4*Lance Heard(OT) but last I saw was him struggling on Twitter. Don't know if he ended up being good or not.

And even helped to cost his team the SECCG.

It was hilarious when they benched his stupid arse.

Don't a a lot of football players play through some sort of injury throughout the season? He was healthy enough to play in 12 games.

Jardin Gilbert, number 2 ranked safety in the portal, cost us the USCw game and tried his best to do the same in a few other contests.
