Very good video. It goes over everything and talks about all the schools. Figured you guys would enjoy it. Nice recap of the Bama dynasty. Damn they were good.

Don't get mad Bama fans. It's all about how good Bama was. You'll like the video. It's about NIL of course.

It's horseshite that just tries to take the decline and apply it's own narrative like anyone else.

I know people like to say NIL and the transfer portal killed the Alabama dynasty, but in point of fact it was the fact that Saban was aging out of the profession. Bobby Bowden is the oldest head coach to ever win a national championship and he did that at the age of 70. Saban was 72 years old when he retired and 69 when he won his last national championship.

Saban was one of the great adapters in the history of college football. Same with Bear Bryant. It's why they both rank up there among the greatest to ever do it. Had NIL and the transfer portal come around in 2011 instead of 2021, I guarantee you Saban would have adapted and overcome much like he did in 2013-14 when his brand of offense was beginning to go the way of the Dodo.

Naw, he pretty much says everything that's been said on here but in an informative way. He covers the last decade+ of college football very well.

He put no negative slant on Bama.. He praised Saban in the video.

Makes one wonder what UNC is thinking by hiring a 72 year old Belichick.

Basically bama and others had nil before the rest had nil. Now all have it and it’s who has the biggest nil. Welcome to semi pro ball.

It was well produced troll video and that's about it.

The thumbnail image and the shot at Deboer when he had nothing to do with the premise of the video at the end only highlighted the bias the author was trying to hold back.

The fact he was even talking about Clemson dropping in recruiting at one point as if to say the talent was more evenly spread out for example was stupid.

It was never that Alabama had classes that were all that much better, it was that Alabama did it year after year after year, while the 2nd place team, 3rd place teams etc all kept changing. 1 year it's LSU with a great class near Alabama, then the next year LSU is #8 or something and Ohio St brings in the 2nd best class. Then USC or some other team comes in #2 the next year.

So Alabama having a 10 point or whatever lead in a single class was not that big. But when that team then pulls in a lower ranked class the next year, the gap becomes 50 points or whatever. Year after year. So when he talks about all those teams moving around, it's just more of that while Alabama stayed at the top. Which is why they are rated tops in talent still.

And that pretty much continued on until Saban retired with the exception of Georgia, who was banging out consistent 2nd place classes and the occasional #1. And the dumbass who made this video for some reason attributes that to a decline of Alabama, and yet Georgia/Kirby have 1 single win over Alabama in recent history. But they have become comparable because of the consistency in recruiting.

He just assumes talent changes are the cause like many other people foolishly do day after day.

Sure, he occasionally mentions a true thing such as the culture changing at Alabama, but it's mixed in with a bunch of crap really. And it's kind of hard to get that wrong since Saban said it in front of congress.

Correct. They paid more than anyone under Saban and now they can’t any longer. Kirby took the methods he learned under Saban and started signing top classes too.

alabama will never have another football dynasty.

My theory?

They see the writing on the wall for the ACC and want to put themselves in the best position possible to get an invite from either the SEC or Big Ten.

Meanwhile, back in reality Alabama has been recruiting at the same level since NIL started and will pull in a top5 class again this year.

Good video. It helps me understand how this came about because college players weren’t compensated for their likeness in the video games that were making bank off of them. They had a legitimate complaint.

At this point we all have to wonder if Auburn will ever have another winning season.

I don't disagree. And I don't think most people do but the implementation of NIL has been about as horrible as it could possibly have been done.
