I would agree with you but put Sark ahead of Kiffin by a nose just for being easier to manage.

Obviously Kirby but he is off the table. Even tho I didn’t think Kirby was aggresive enough at times

I agree. One is more level headed and the other is more risky.

Agreed. If Kiffin was focused, we win the 2016 title. Kiffin is brilliant but his ego will always get in the way.

Probably because it is understood that he would be our best DC

It’s unfortunate he didn’t coach that game. I think Kiffin was better at making an offense work with limited QBs (Sims and Hurts).

Same, but I think I'd take him for his patient tenure. He could have taken another job much sooner than he did, imo. We really didn't know how good we had it with him on our sideline for 8 years.

OC - Sark
DC - Pruitt

Lane and Pruitt.

Sark was great but not as versatile as Kiffin.

more level headed which is why I would take him. If Bama could take any FB coach today it would be sark. Not Lane and not KD.

Kiffin was more of a Macguyver whereas Sark was great at utilizing a more traditional group of players.

Kiffin had 3 different 1st year starters at QB, one of which was a former RB, and he had 3 different players win SEC player of the year in a row at 3 different positions.

The true answer is Smart and Sark but I'll indulge the conceit of the topic and say Pruitt and Sark.

OC- Sark because he is a master at in-game adjustments. I still remember the UGA game where he called a play and noticed the defensive adjustment. Then in the second half, he called the same play with a wrinkle and Waddle goes for a TD.

DC- Pruitt because who else was there besides Golding, Tosh, and Steele. Golding was not great at all. Tosh was over his head. Steele was too old and Saban took over during the season.

I have to rule out Kiffin because he cost us a National Title by "leaving early" and forcing Sark into the position.

If Kirby is off the table then what other big time DC have we had besides Pruitt? Thread should have just been titled “Who’s better between Sark and Lane?”
