This dude got absolutely rolled by the new playoff format. Combined with the disastrous officiating and it’s been a bad year for him. The SEC could benefit from stronger and more thoughtful leadership.

100% on board with this. He was a bad hire to begin with.

Absolutely agree. Also agree on the officiating. It’s been horrible for several years now and this culture needs to be cleaned up.

How do you agree to a format that allows ASU and Boise to get top 4 seeds and only nets you one more spot than the ACC when you’re the sport’s dominant conference and have all the leverage in negotiations? Sankey got rolled.

You are looking at a future with the current model, that will only allow one sec team to be a top four seed.
And a set up to make the sec games in the early rounds a travel game to a shitty part of the country

Sankey got straight cooked with this new format. Doesn’t matter that it was UA on the losing end. Should be fired for this and a number of other reasons.

Sankey was one of two guys that wanted to pick the 12 and reseed them.

He’s not a dictator, other commissioners have a say too.

Called out Sankey for teams schedules. Called out his name, his staff and said it to his face.

I think Alabama should just leave the SEC. No point being in a tough conference if the title game doesn't matter, competition doesn't matter, the weekly grind doesn't matter. If the win loss record is the only consideration then why be here. Who here thinks Bama wouldn't be 11-1 or 10-2 in the Big12 or ACC?

I was just coming to say the same thing. SEC and Big10 had all the leverage and blew it.

I could see the SEC and the big 10 merging in the future

He had 100% of the leverage. Without the SEC, any playoff is meaningless.

Yep. Maybe not merging but separating from the rest.
And that will mean total revamping of the two conferences and expansion of them

How do you give Texas a schedule like this year one in the SEC then do to Georgia what he did? Seems like a little something extra came along with Texas?

Did you see Sankey's face on the stage after Texas lost? Clearly there is something going on there.
