Had more touchdown passes 57 than incompletions 56.

But he isn’t on our commits but we do have 2 QBs in that class.

Arkansas in-state talent combined with this coaching staff is the only thing more useless than the UA administration.

Arkansas HS football players need development once they get to college as a result of poor coaching and competition in HS years.

Very few and far between are the actually ready to play and produce Arkansas HS players but the vocal fan doesn't see that.

Just because someone plays HS football in Arkansas and has recruiting stars or HS success doesn't mean they will do anything especially against SEC competition.

It's why we paid Shamar Easter what we did after the Loggains departure just for the kid to do nothing because he wasn't prepared in HS to play on the college level and might never be.

Arkansas high school football used to produce more talent back in the 70s to the 90s.

But the population decline for both Little Rock Metro school districts and small towns throughout the Arkansas Delta has really hurt the state. Towns like Helena, Marianna, Forrest City, Brinkley, Clarendon, Barton, Pine Bluff, Blytheville, Osceola, Stuttgart, West Memphis, Marvell, Newport, and lake Village produced not great but good football talent.

Now these towns are dead and that is a problem bigger than football.

Living in Alabama and watch HS football here. Talent is absolutely off the chains.

5A kids here are getting paid

Alabama has 37 in-state players rated 87 grades or higher.

LINK

87 is the typical average grade of our players in a class.

Arkansas has 8 in-state players rated 87 grades or higher.

LINK

IMO Jordan should be behind Curne but Warren players don't to social media or camps.

It's even noticeable going back a couple of generations ago in the Nutt years to now how Arkansas players have dropped off.

It's why I wish our fanbase and the vocal fans shouting about in-state players would stop.

All they do is force our coaches who can't develop these players to waste time and money chasing them for no return.

Get the best players you can for the money you have available that can play right now and stop worrying about redshirting or developing players for other schools a year or two from now.

Fix the culture within the athletic department and program but that starts with having a competent HC so players can trust the leader.

Because then you're tied to paying them a premium "or else" they'll leave for greener pastures (which they may do anyway).

The home state school loyalty is out the window for the foreseeable future. Get it through your heads.

Dude, I just realized thanks to your comment that we're getting a 6'6 WR from Warren. I need no further info. Petrino is going to have fun with him.

Saw him play earlier this year. He defiantly looks the part. He completely stood out over everyone else in the field physically, but he is not that fast.

If he puts put on 15 lbs I could see him being an inline TE. He moves a lot like Kelce does. Slippery and smooth through the middle of the field.

TOTALLY disagree with that statement. I've coached in Arkansas and Texas and know several HS coaches for Louisiana... that is a false statement.
Arkansas kids are handicapped by AAA practice rules and having to play under NFHS rules which are much different in terms of touchbacks, 2 point conversions, cut blocking, etc.
Arkansas HS football isn't a lack of coaching talent. It's a lack of prioritizing football in our communities.
We've lost the LR football factories we had in the 70's-90's and that has hurt or D1 level talent in-state. (Look at how fast Bolding has built a monster at Parkview just by getting those kids out to play. IF we could get that to happen again at Central, Southwest, NLR, etc. the number of D1 kids would rise considerably)
You can't blame that on HS coaches when they are working with limited options to begin with. Now, there are some HS coaches that just show up for an easy paycheck and it shows, but that's not the case for most.

Not much

LR schools have been horribly ran for decades. Hell, the city of LR has been horribly ran as well. Theres a reason the private schools and suburbs have most of the talent now. Football is expensive, basketball is cheap. Theres your answer.

There's a lot of truth in that statement.
