I browsed a couple Texas boards after the announcement and it seems even some of the so-called "recruiting insiders" were surprised by this.

Gees dude....how pathetic. I know where you can get a LIFE at a decent price if you're interested. UGA and Bama have been reeling in the top recruiting classes for a decade now. I'm sorry you haven't been here before, but before you go beating your chest like an idiot, at least ACT like you've been there.

Absolutely. Nil + Sark + sec means huge recruiting every year for Texas at the expense of a lot fans teams in here and im here for it

Texas kids are overrated anyways. Not true southern blood. More like that queso cheese blood. Ewers, Milroe, etc.. that’s why you’re turning to the likes of Manning to save your souls from the agony of more decades of never winning a national championship.
