His first 2-3 years he was building the program and lost 24 games. So those first years really make it look worse than it actually is.

He’s 65-49 year 4 to now

Yes. Pretty simple as to why
-most wins in school history
-8 bowl appearances
-first win in the swamp since the 70s (first win against Florida period since the 80s)
-best seasons as far as # of wins since the 70s
-first road win against a top 10 sec team since the 60s

Yes this season sucked but he gets paid what he does cause he's done well compared to our past

Exactly. People wonder why stoops has an insane contract but they don't bother looking into why.

Gets real old.

Stoops needs to get his shite together to be honest. We will see if he has it in him to right the ship.

We have slidden for 3 years now. Losing our best recruits, going to lose our DC soon, so he's starting over, which is 3 years at least.

Yep he has alot to fix. I hope he does. His teams while never stylish are fun to watch when they're competitive

We beat top 10 louisville a year ago.

Like I said this year sucked but I don't think it is worth firing him over.

Another year like this and I think replacing him can be talked about. But right now I'd keep him over an unknown.

His competition is trash. The record is very garbage. I made a thread awhile ago breaking down each season and it was bad. If Kentucky wants to entertain it I’m not mad. Pretty sure he has a large buyout that they can’t cover.

Interesting note that he lost his #1 recruit...4-Star RB Marquise Davis...to The Missouri Tigers after Davis decomitted and flipped to everyone's favorite Coach Drink yesterday. Kid is a stud out of Cleveland who could find playing time right away for The Tigers.
Oh well, Coach Stoops...back to the drawing board.

Stoop's position is odd. While he is overpaid, he is their winningest coach ever and the fans want rid of him.

Beamer has done a fantastic job at USCe. If he continues to succeed, I wonder how long they can keep him.

It's not that we aren't appreciative of what he has accomplished, but it has a lot to do with fans wanting more, and feeling he has reached his high water mark here at UK.

He has a fire in wanting to right the ship; he is completely overhauling the roster. To what extent remains to be seen.

Should be an interesting week.

No doubt. If it keeps up a bigger program will inevitably be calling. In such a scenario, my hope is that no one had even come close to giving him the chance that we did (he was never a team’s singular OC or DC, let alone an HC at a P5/4 school). And since we were the only ones willing to take a chance on him he’d pay us back with his own loyalty.

That all of course will depend on when and who comes calling, if any.
