Like no possibility of this ever coming back?

It’s not looking good. OU never really liked the game, and I’m not sure what the incentive would be to start it back up.

They're not going to play us anytime soon. They have no incentive to do so.

Is that starting like a two game home and home, or officially making the game permanent?

2031 is the earlest it can be played both teams schedules are full till then!

I think the gooners will do a much better job of getting rid of their lil bro game than we did.

The Big12 plays nine conference games. OSU already has contracts in place for three OOC-games through the 2028 season and would have to buy out those contracts to play Bedlam.

With OU absolutely dominating the series (91-20-7), how did it earn the name “Bedlam”?

Don't you only have a winning record against two SEC teams?
Oh yeah, scoreboard. You're one of OSU's wins this season.

One of the more overrated rivalry games anyway. After all, it's in...Hicklahoma

It comes from the wrestling teams. Lots of commotion and the radio announcer coined it as the bedlam series. Stuck for everything osu and OU.

Let me preface this by saying I'm current on all my bills and owe no money to anyone, but oklahoma state and mike gundy fricking suck.

Hope that series is dead forever. Never got excited about that game glad it's replaced with playing a team thats a name brand.

From Gundy's standpoint I can understand why he has no desire to schedule Oklahoma again.
The OSU athletic department probably misses having the Sooners for the biannual home game because it boosted season ticket sales.
The fanbases of both schools would overwhelmingly approve making this one an annual series like OU-UT when it was nonconference but not as a neutral site game.

I hope we never waste one of our non com games playing them.

Got it - thanks for the explanation.

They will be in the SEC before 2031.

Such a mistake.. Don’t do what our two institutions (Tex-Aggie) did and turn this into a politically driven pissing contest. It’s like we fans were the kids trapped in an ugly divorce.
Play the game.
Play the game.
