Rivalry names and trophies was the norm in the Big8 and BigTen

Difference between what? Both OU and LSU consistently achieve more. . .usually every season but, every now and then (like this year) they're off.

Um... The LSU-OU game? It doesn't need a silly name.
Save for the Egg Bowl, the Iron Bowl and the Red River Shootout (because we're not stupid ninny pussies and realize they are actually trying to shoot each other on the field), naming games is stupid. There's probably a couple more I'm forgetting. TSIO and whatever they call the Georgia-Florida game.

I like a rivalry with LSU, a school which trophies to back up the talk, like OUr rivalries with Texas or Nebraska.
In that same train of thought, I would think LSU would prefer to be rivals to OU than say...dancing milkmen aTm with empty trophy room.

You’re right. You guys have played together 3 times. We’ve played them over 60. Biggest new rivalry in college sports now.
