This is something that has become such a widely held opinion, but it is an idiotic one. If you cheated, then the wins shouldn’t count. If you played ineligible players, the wins shouldn’t count.
There is no field of competition anywhere other than college sports where so many people think proven cheaters shouldn’t be stripped of the accomplishments they got by cheating.
