Well, how did Kiffin do in his Florida job interview?

Since this was the topic of two big threads last week. How did he do? What do Florida fans think of the guy that decided to sit his best running back (all season) and put in WR 5 as the running back?

Anyone who makes judgments on a coach over one game is retarded

Already has a top ten win at Florida and he hasnt even been announced yet. Pretty damn impressive.

Billy needs generational talent at qb to get to 6 wins
Besides his first season (pandemic year) kiffin has won 8 games once and 9-11 games the other years
Maybe he’s not a championship coach but Florida isn’t a program that competes for championships anymore
If Napier can’t ride Lagway to anything better than 5-6 wins, then he needs to go and I’ll be fine with a coach who wins 8-9 games a year with a fun offense

If Napier does need to be fired next season Kiffin missing the playoff helps if we did go after him.

Kiffin coached better. The WR’s had lots of drops and Kiffin wasn’t the one who threw 2 picks down the stretch. Billy gave Lane more than one chance to come back. The team didn’t execute.
I’d be curious to see how Billy will do when Lagway graduates or goes pro. If Billy is still here.

If we win 5 games next year, Billy is undoubtedly gone, but it feels miserably pessimistic to think we'll win 5 or 6 games next year
But you are a miserable frick so it makes sense

Guy has yet to do it.
I do think he’s showed enough the past 2 weeks to deserve a shot at winning more than that next year instead of getting canned this year so idk what is pessimistic about a forecast of a guy who has won around 5-6 games for 3 years straight winning 5-6 games in his 4th year

some of you guys are miserable fricks
we have a generational QB talent and the players fricking love Billy. Good vibes going into the off-season.
Yea, Billy is a mediocre-at-best play-caller, but let's just chill the frick out with the bitching for a few weeks

Bowl win would be nice but fsu is a must win or the vibes will be wrecked

Defense improved and that has nothing to do with Lagway
If Armstrong gets a G5 HC position it’ll be interesting to see if Billy can get another solid DC

It should be a win
But until the game is played I’m not banking on any game being a win
Yes I know they are a tire fire but they’ll definitely come out to play against us and it’s on the road so who knows what might happen

Lane obviously threw that game so he could remain at Ole Miss. Florida can't fire Billy and then hire the guy that couldn't beat him. Well played indeed.
On a serious note, I would rather see Billy successful at Florida because he seems to be a really good dude, and I don't like trying to steal coaches from other SEC schools by overpaying them. If it doesn't work out, the next hire is usually a budget hire to get your finances back in line.
I would gladly take Lane as our coach, but he seems to fit well at Ole Miss and I hope he has great success there.
And I am not saying we could get Lane even if we tried, just that I still like him as a coach. I know Ole Miss fans are not happy about the game, but I think that week off worked against you.

Well, the Gators are at 6 wins with a good chance for seven wins on Saturday. DJ is also 4-1 as a starter, with the lone loss one he was leading when injury took him out vs UGA.
What leads you to believe that the Gators won't win a Kiffin-like nine games next season? Miami, Texas A&M, UCF, Kentucky, Georgia, Texas, Ole Miss, and possibly LSU are all replacing their QBs and the Gators are only losing 4 seniors.

"This is also thecaws Super Bowl because he loves lane kiffin and hopes he embarrasses the Disney gators big time
TheCaw is calling it, if Lane and ole Miss don’t easily cover the 11 point spread prepare to see tons of Disney gators pump their chests about how hard the team played and how close Participation Ribbon Billy kept it, and then go on to call Lane overrated , a fraud etc.
Ole Miss 63
Florida 24
Speaking of "frauds"

I’m not bitching. It’s the truth. Billy had the chance to ice the game more than once but didn’t. He gave the ball back to OM. One more first down would have done it.
I’m glad we have Lagway and I’m glad that the team plays hard for Billy. I personally think Billy is a great guy. But as a coach there is room for improvement.
