Respect.

We have shat on this young man for two years, and he has continued to battle. The outside noise toward him must have broken his heart on several occasions, but he never quit.

He is a tough SOB with big brass balls and I am proud to have had him as our QB. He has fought like hell like a true Auburn man.

Thank you Payton.

Posts like this are a bit misleading, as Milton has like 600 or 800 more rushing yards and 15 more rushing TDs than Thorne. .

It can be done. It’s time to assert dominance.

My problem with Thorne is the mistakes he’s making as a Sr.

Taking sacks at crucial moments (finally threw it OOB last night) Interceptions on throws he knew he shouldn’t have thrown. (few bad coverage throws) Not throwing his body on the line for a 1st down, and changing the plays when he shouldn’t.

With that said, he threw it all on the line against A&M. A few times he gave his heart and soul with some scrambles/runs for gains.

He will now be allowed back to Jordan-Hare for games, although he will have to sit up in the Upper Deck. Coleman bailed him out last night and KLS bailed him out twice!

Milroe does designed QB runs often. People say he cant do the RPO though.

He is a RB behind a better OL

Most of the time people are happy the QB is just giving the receiver a chance to make a play. You call it bailing them out I call it making a play. We are not a YAC offense.

The shite that you just dogged Thorne for is stuff that happens to 99% of the QB's in this conference. Some of you seem to think that playing QB is super easy. Don't take sacks in crucial moments? What, do other teams' QBs only get sacked in the most opportune moments LOL? This is an OL that had 4 false starts in the last 5 minutes of last night's HOME game. At times, they have been atrocious. We don't even have a LT. Even still, if it was as simple as "throw the ball away" then why would any QB ever get sacked at all?

Even if you look at the best QB's in this conference, when their team loses that QB has almost certainly made multiple of the above "mistakes". Dart got sacked 4 times and threw 2 picks vs. Florida, and he got sacked 6 times and threw a pick vs. LSU. Why did no one tell him to simply "throw the ball away"? Its the exact same story for Carson Beck: 5 sacks and an INT against Ole Miss, and 3 sacks and 3 INT's against Bama. Garrett Nussmeier got sacked 7 times vs. Florida and lost, and he threw 5 INT's vs. Bama and A&M and lost both of those games as well. Bama has 3 losses, and in those games Milroe threw a total of 6 INT's (he has 9 on the season).

If your team is losing, then your QB probably got abused in some fashion by the defense. This isn't something that is unique to Payton Thorne and Auburn.

I won't say PT is a great QB, but standing behind a sub-par OL makes him look a lot worse than he is. With a little better protection, good bet his decision making improves a lot. Regardless, he's given everything he has to give.

He's their leading rusher and apparently is their goaline "wildcat" qb as well.
He has 615 yds rushing while Thorne has 241. The 17 rushing TDs are impressive though.

He is a tough guy and made some much needed runs which is his biggest asset in my opinion

But his passing stats are skewed. He has 20 TD passes and almost half of them came from two, very pathetic cupcakes.

He played just good enough yesterday for us to win. He got saved by the receivers all year and I will be glad to see someone else back there in one more game

None of the other team's athletes had any stat padding games this season. Just Thorne.
He only had 301 yds against TaM.
