OU fans have nearly zero objectivity. Do you think Riley could have pulled in the defensive players that BV has brought in? Is it BV’s fault that his available players play like they just left a Diddy party and took home party gift of baby oil and average an unreasonable amount of turnovers? BV is not the problem. He needs a legitimate OC. It’s OU, it shouldn’t be that hard to find one. You can’t win games when your defense is on the field 90% of the time no matter what team it is. OU after the 2025 class will have recruited 9 OL’men collectively with the 2024 class which are almost all 4*’s and a hopeful 5* if he stays.

You think BV wanted to burn redshirts just to make you feel happy inside for a pointless win? Stop acting entitled, we got humbled this year regardless of injuries, it’s not like those dudes weren’t top 250. I’m glad he didn’t. He did a few but he didn’t have a choice. Hell with this new era of football why even redshirt, Dion doesn’t and it’s turned out pretty good so far. Elite defensive players want to play for a defensive minded coach so they can play in the NFL. Our record a few years ago proved that just like it is this year. OU is fine and their future is, regardless of this very strange season, is very bright.

I posted this on another thread started by an OU fan but I thought I would just make my own. I can see why most fans don’t like us when it comes to football. Everything is fine. From what I saw from watching every game this season, with our expected offense with our defense, we probably would have had a much better record.

You don't think the guy being paid 5MM per year should be held accountable for on field performance?

Yes it is the head coach's fault if the players don't play well, sorry to inform you.

I think it is fair to question Brent Venables on what exactly he saw in Littrell/Jackson Arnold over the summer that made him want to ride with them. Venables hasn't won anything yet.

yes it actually IS his fault. Just like it was Sark's fault we didn't show up against Georgia. They get paid the big money because the buck stops with them.

The blame I would put on BV is his decision on coordinaters which Lebby suggested when he left. I also think that they need to change their fall camp practices. As far as whose chosen to see the field, I’m not sure who picks that.

You guys do you realize that his WR’s playing right now probably couldn’t start for most teams in the FBS. Same for the current OL. You can say I’m wrong all you like but youre not watching every OU game, I am. I’m not saying he shouldn’t be on the hot seat but saying fire him now is just emotional and entitled because they’re use to winning. If they get rid of him, they won’t be getting 4 and 5* DT/DE along with 12 4* DB’s from 24 and 25 together. OU doesn’t get players that are good at defense to want to play here.
