Injured his throwing shoulder against Vandy.

He injured his shoulder on the play immediately prior to the deep-pass to Coleman which was short by about 5 yards (for the QB evaluation experts who brought that play up).

That sucks. Thorne is bad but he’s the best we’ve got. People calling for the backups are going to see just how much worse it could get. Blowouts to finish out the season incoming.

I can't tell a difference between healthy Thorne and injured Thorne.

Heck, with no chance of burning the red shirt, we should just bring in White this week and just see if he's been able to learn anything thus far. He was supposed to be the savior, right?

What about all the other passes he’s under thrown? Has he been hurt since transferring?

How can it get much worse?

Thorne is good for 1 TD per game against power 5 opponents.

He does not play defense.

If our Qb is worse, maybe our dumbass coaches will give Jarquez the ball more often.

I doubt White gets the start, he has been running scout team all year and barely practicing our offense. Good to get him some reps though with Thorne out. Probably will be Hank starting. Maybe White gets some reps if we get up.

NO HE ISNT

If Thorne gave us the best chance of winning, and all we do is lose, how the frick can you come to that conclusion?

Historically, do football coaches announce where a player, especially QB1, are injured? It seems like an odd play.

“Oh, so his shoulder is hurt. Gee, it’d be a shame if he got tackled and had that shoulder driven into the ground.”- opposing coaches and players

Am I thinking off base here?

To play devil’s advocate for a second, these aren’t mutually exclusive. He can still be the best we have and not good enough to get us wins. That doesn’t just automatically mean the backups are actually better.
